This is very cool if you are into classic stuff. It is promo video Honda put out for dealers in 1983 so show the 83 model line up. It covers all the CR's, XR's and XL's fro 1983. It also has most of their street machines as well. It even has some fast riding by a very young Mike Healey on a 83 CR80R. Enjoy

Damn their approach seemed more professional then, at least as in advertising? Talk about decline in market...

How did the guy on the Cr250 know how to "bubba scrub" back in '82 when it hadn't been invented yet??? LOL!

And how about that Xr350r four stroke motocrosser? I thought KTM invented that? I guess they are 30 years late on that one. Copycats.

I noticed that also, it looked good, most of the times I have seen guys in the 80's and even early 90's try a so called whip it looks goofy as if they are ridding very stiff.
Good stuff Tblazier, keep it coming

That 83 CR 250 was my first Honda, and one of the best bikes I had ever ridden. The 84 however, was a total piece of crap.

Guessing the guy on the CR250 is Johnny O'Mara, and that's Jim Gibson on the 125. The rider on the 80 is Mouse McCoy. Not sure on the others!

My brother had the 83 cr 250, I remember the awesome spares kit that came with the bike new.
It was a solid ride for sure, and hell of a difference compared to riding my 83 kx 125.
Brings back good memories every time, I'd love to go back to the 1980's
such great times were had.

I remember lusting so bad for one of those 83' CR250s. When those 83's came out, you could just look at them and knew Honda was "back". Ultimately, I didn't get the 83' CR250, but I scored one in 84'. I absolutely loved that bike, I wish I could find one to restore.

Who's riding the 480 with the number 1 on it?

The 250 looked like Donnie Hansen with the number 1 on it.

The 125 with number 8 is Jim Gibson

The 80 rider is Mike Healey.

It might be Daryl Schultz he was the 1982 500 champ and would seem to be the obvious choice.

DC, the kid on the 80 is Mike Healey you can actually read his jersey. I wonder is the kid on the 60 is Mouse McCoy?

Both sound correct, but that might be Donnie Hansen on the 500 and McCoy on the 80. I actually have all those brochures from that year and it's Hansen on the 500. I believe it was shot in late summer, before Donnie's career-ending crash at Rolf Deiffenbach's track in Germany. Let me see if I can dig them out...

Honda's MX presence is a mere shadow of it's former self. Damn shame. The 83 lineup was amazing, every one of them.

Completly enjoyed the moto portion of the video!

My best friend when I was 8 had a 1984 CR60, and that thing was a screaming beast!!! I was scared of it. We had a little natural "ditch" jump at the farm growing up, and Glen nailed that thing on his 60, looped it right over backwards and completly plugged the exhaust full of dirt. I will never forget watching him do that jump - I thought he was going to die!

They failed to tell everyone that if you rode those XR350's in anything above frezzing weather they would melt the engine into a pile of shit!

Hansen was JT that year and it doesn't look like the guy riding has JT gear...
