I really did not like RC in the Honda years but who can knock a factory Honda? Always clean machines. This is his MX Des nations bike.

I remember reading that Lamson was going to Husky and being shocked. It worked out about as well as it did fro Everts.

This is my favorite of the Factory Connection bikes. These graphics were sweet. I tricked of my CRF450R with these and it looked bad ass.

Who was 970 Sobe - what year?

Why did McGrath quit KTM?

How much did McGrath sign for with KTM?

Wrong quote but it still works.

Matthew Lalloz (look at the rear number plate) Atlanta 03 I'd guess (look at the image text)

Matt Lalloz as stated above

MC had a really back crash on the KTM that jacked up his hip and I think that spooked him a bit on the bike. Also KTM promised him and Langston new factory bikes with linkages that never came. I think the combinations soured him on the deal so he retired.

If I remember hearing it was double what Yamaha offered him after they tried to cut his pay. Not sure on the total amount though.

Pretty cool thread. Funny that you post these pics, they have made me tic as well.

Goose workin on RC 03 mxdn bike...

Those Amsoil graphics made me tic as well, so here's my CR125. Manage to find SRS engine covers as well which was pretty cool.

Here is one of the best factory bikes ever built, way ahead of their time, love those lowboy tanks. If you look at the right side engine photo you can see the hose on the cylinder side of the intake which was a vacum to run the diaphram pump for the fuel.

I have a real good photo of Ron Lechien's 85 Works Honda 125 but I can't get it to post, I will work on that.

Didn't know Suzuki used Bill's pipes back then. Thought that was just Lammy and RR on their Hondas.

You can take a 2010-12 CRF250R chassis & bolt in your favorite CR250 motor and have a bike that's VASTLY superior to ANY of those bikes...

Jus' sayin'...

My dream bike for sure! With a CR250 01 engine! Smile I know you know stuff, and wonder how do you figure that combo is better than a 01 CR250 with upgraded suspension?

Please explain. It sounds like you have a very logical and technical reasoning of why it would be better.

I mean I doubt engineers actually build a chassis to work with the engine that IS DESIGNED for it. I heard you can take a 2010-12 CRF250R chassis and bolt any of your favorite motors into them. I thinking small block Chevy.

Dont get me wrong, I think conversion bikes are cool and great workmanship. But there is more than just bolting in a engine into a chassis.

VASTLY superior. Yeah.......NO. Not even close.
