That flagger is past the landing of the jump, there’s another flagger up on the face of the jump.

The Flagger at the take off is a AMA official. He is a paid Flagger. The challenge is he was blue flagging hard for the top 5 riders. He is looking up track to do that. Should have been looking both ways, up track and down track for downed bikes also. Didn’t have the yellow flag in his other hand. Or remote for safety lights. How he missed a bike endoing off the top of the table is concerning. Guessing there was a massive panic rev before the crash. The flagger at the landing is a local Flagger whose responsibility...

How many times does it need to be said the owner of Glen Helen is the problem. Davey Combs never want to take the track off the series but greed with the promoter played a role. The race got brought back for a few years with mediation with Tom White, Mitch Payton and a few other industry heavy hitters I believe and worked ok while Tom was still alive. From what I remember the last time they ran a national there the owner decided to sell tickets at an exuberant price that made the riders come through a new area...

My understanding is that the event was a pro practice day that they used as a press day. You can’t expect the series/promoter/track to have a full flagging staff there two days before the event for a practice day. I know in my area most tracks don’t have a full flagging staff on practice days and that is when 50s and 450 pros are on the track at the same time. There is no guarantee that flaggers would have been able to prevent the crash on Thursday either. I want to see dudes stay safe and healthy but this idea...

He also said vialle might have it coming this weekend. One guy does all the talking. The other let's his riding do the talking. Can't say I'm rooting for deegs but I'm glad he keeps things interesting.
