It depends a lot upon the brand and even the specific tire. Plus bike as well. Call the manufacturer and see what they recommend for your tire and terrain, they should know. Motion Pro has one of the best gauges in the industry, look around at the next MX/SX race and see what the teams are using. I've had one...

I tow with my Jetta TDI all the time. I've got 250k miles on it and it's running well. 5 speed manual TDI has no issues with a lightweight trailer and bikes. I have a Kendon trailer and trailered my 950 and 450 out to colorado last year including a couple of decent passes. I would NOT do a hitch...

SpeedyR Started a new thread MXGP riders thoughts on Glen Helen?

having watched a few of the MXGP races this year the quality of some of the tracks has been a bit.. lacking. More like the Utah round of the US races (flat area with some jumps built up). They definitely have their sand tracks and some other good tracks, but nothing that I've seen (and I have't watched them all)...

were you still at YOT when JLaw was there (2008)? any riders in particular that had that raw talent that seemed to not be able to live up to it or harness it? like others, I was always curious to hear/see what Buell was working on during their period under HD. I know one time I was speaking to someone...

This is correct. First two are week (00-52). Second two are year. 4-5 years is usually max if stored properly.

Paul rode for Richmond Kawi, right? not that he's american (he did race here for a while) but anyone have any update on Darcy Lange? glad to Colton win this year. good for him!

Evan definitely raced up there for a season, teammates with Darcy Lange on the Richmond Kawasaki bikes. Willard won at least one championship against Klatt, maybe two? Jeff Dement Brock Sellards Jeff Northrop Bobby Kiniry Josh Demuth

should be a good show this year. Stewie is consistently fast these days and will be a spoiler for the past two top runners (RD/RV), RD5 is always a threat for the long haul. RV is the winner, so he's got the target on his back, Reed and Milsaps will hopefully be fully healed and running the pace. the black...

SpeedyR Added a reply to Anyone run an 18 on the rear of a 250F

2/20/2014 9:00am
lots of woods guys run 18" rears on a 250f. Smile seriously the outside diameter can be different but also it differs quite a bit from brand to brand so if you are into that much technical specs, you should check diameter on all of your tires. Wink the main advantage of the 18" as others have said is that...

pits are open 12:30-6pm. race starts at 7pm, don't miss the opening ceremonies. it's good stuff. practice and qualifiying is earlier before the main event starts, not sure of the time. get to the pits early, it is a long line to get it. very long. and lots of walking around to get to the opening in the pits. at...
Ned, Tomac and other top level riders were crazy. Tomas Frischkinect or however you spell it was another. even some big mountain climbers were just freaks of nature. Bit given the money involved in many sports (mostly stick and ball stuff) it's not that surprising that folks want to "up their game" a bit, especially if they think they can...

good to see Jeff stand up and take account for his actions. IMHO the best way to move on would be to contact Davey and ask what he can do to help out with the next few round. Putting up banners, corner working, picking up trash, doesn't matter. Just show him that you are in it for the interest of...

The facts are that ATL SX sells out every year. 65k+ fans in the seats. Georgia has two of the biggest private off road parks in the US. Some of the better tracks around and a few that are willing to build the infrastructure needed to host a national. My bets would be on barber. If George gets behind it...

dunlop has good traction when new but the performance falls off pretty quickly once they wear. bridgestone combo is decent but I prefer pirelli. I usually run the scorpion mid soft but if you want a good all around tire, try the Mid Hard (MXMH 554). if you are having problems with the knobs it's probably because you are running...

I went to one of the WEC rounds in canada a few years ago. wish they had another round in the US. Too bad more of the top players didn't show up for the races. Was great to see some of the top euro riders showcase their skills. the special test sections were crazy!

milsaps has been getting some pretty decent starts most of the year, but this race he kept it up front the whole time. JS7 just looked pretty smooth the entire race and didn't seem as out of shape as some of the other riders. crazy the guys doing the triple on the front straight in that kind of mud!

I really enjoy watching davie and he's a really good person. A few years ago I took my wife to a SX race in SF. She hadn't been to one before and I learned before that any time you take someone to a race of any type, pick out a rider or let them choose someone to watch and be...

SpeedyR Added a reply to Has KTM changed the game?

2/6/2012 12:37pm
I don't know if it's a "game changer" but IMHO KTM is definitely a company whos products can win at any level of the sports we play (MX, SX, off road, etc). the past few years there has been talk of the bike with no linkage, and is it a disadvantage in SX/MX. again IMHO it isn't but without having...

lol.. still going. it's the energizer bunny thread.. bubba ran a bridgestone front tire in one practice allegedly. He ran pirelli front and rear in one practice and ran a Dunlop rear in one practice. My guess is like others mentioned that he was trying to figure out of the setup was off because of his inexperience with Pirelli or...
