I would have imagined a molding type process where liquid silicon was injected into a mold or something. Still not real clear how the overlap/seam is taken care of.

Well they do claim that the hoses themselves are made in the USA on the site. Says nothing about kits, clamps or packaging. It says the hoses are made in USA.
