11/10/2014 6:59pm All the instagram stuff he posts has made me much less of a fan. I'd rather support the hard working-never-give-up guys like Dungey, Tomac, and Trey.
rt987 Started a new thread Burying things for jumps?
10/7/2014 1:12pm Anyone tried burying objects like round/square bales for jumps? I'm on a farm and have a pretty decent track, but my limiting factor is dirt. I haul dirt with a 3-ton grain truck and use a John Deere tractor with a loader for everything else. I was thinking, what if I buried round bales with dirt? That'd sure save a...

10/7/2014 8:21am Thanks for the replies guys. "Boss" being my Dad. Burying things like bales - not a problem. Couches, trees, rocks, old ladies - problem. About 3 years ago we had a scraper come in and strip about 3 acres of black dirt off for us to build two hay sheds and a pad for a row of grain bins. The...

10/6/2014 6:10am I wondered if they'd rot. Have to be super dry going in, I'd use straw for sure. I've been using the tractor for 5 years now, getting pretty dang good at it! Taking dirt from the low spot isn't available, I'm in the middle of a hay field. Limited to using black dirt, due to the fact the boss wants...

10/3/2014 9:38pm What happened to Dungey?! Was looking forward to seeing him out there as well!

10/3/2014 3:18pm Got a feeling the RMZilla would have an advantage if they did that. Then Travis would underestimate the corner and torpedo himself into oblivion
rt987 Added a reply to 2014 KTM Duke 690 - Experience
10/3/2014 3:08pm Pops has the Enduro. Rode it a little bit in BC on the fire roads. Holy moses does that thing go, more power than any 650 i've ridden hands down. The Duke is a twin spark head (if I remember right) and some other changes adding 5hp more than the Enduro to ~70hp. Can't comment on the Duke far as...

9/17/2014 6:39am Certainly compared to Jerry I'd call me a weekend warrior, but in my eyes I take it waaay too serious to be classed as that. I'm not pouring money into it to go out there and lose. I got a much later start than most kids but I believe my drive is just as strong if not stronger!!

9/16/2014 5:17pm Me and my mom, $300 truck, and YZ250, all in my name. Parked next to a kid this weekend who had 2 fully built Hondas, nice trailer, everything. Felt good to beat him! I truly believe that if you want it, and you know what it's going to take, you can do it. I worked 13 hours straight yesterday to...
rt987 Added a reply to Leatt GPX 5.5 visibility
9/15/2014 9:07pm Ok thanks guys, I've gotta do something different. Going to wait until harvest is over then hopefully find a deal on RMC or something.
rt987 Started a new thread Leatt GPX 5.5 visibility
9/15/2014 9:07pm I have a Leatt Moto GPX that I got in 2009, and am really getting tired of having my head locked when I try to look up. I have a Fox V3 and V4 helmets, it's worse with the V4 as it feels like the bottom edge is lower. The obvious option would be with the Atlas, but I'm not...

rt987 Started a new thread Riders Fly Private?
9/5/2014 6:13pm Do the top level guys fly private? I've always wondered that, I remember seeing pics of JS7 doing it but can't remember if anyone else did. I know it's incredibly expensive!

9/4/2014 4:46pm Hey bud want some advise? Phrase it like this: In my case; [i]Hey everyone, looking for some advise on a training program next year. I race 250 C, weigh 140 and am 17. I've been doing some research on training programs and think that the (for example) 19 week program from racerxvt looks to be the kind of thing I'm...

9/3/2014 8:09pm Thanks guys. I have an interest in aviation and wondered, it'd be freakin awesome to fly private but I guess that's out of their range. Way I have it figured, for a jet like a Citation, it's roughly $6500/hr to hire. Those things move fast though, I believe roughly 2-2.5 hours from Ontario to the west coast of Canada.
rt987 Added a reply to Need help with redoing my track
9/3/2014 12:24pm You need more dirt than you'd ever imagine, and lots of equipment to make an "advanced level" track.
rt987 Added a reply to Would you rather have your own track or have a variety
8/18/2014 10:21am It's nice to have one, rototiller and a little sprayer is all you need for maintenance. The trick is seed grass on the jumps, then string trim or mow it to keep it down. Weeds are a never ending issue but grass is very manageable. If you want ruts made, then just work the corners and make it nice and...

rt987 Started a new thread Front Brake Problem YZ250
7/7/2014 5:42pm Crashed this morning going around a corner and slammed the right handle bar into the ground. Nothing was bent from what I could see, but now the front brake is super touchy. The engagement is right at the end of the travel of the lever, before it was a little softer which I really liked. What happened here? Its a...

rt987 Added a reply to Front Brake Problem YZ250
7/7/2014 5:03pm Hey FGR, thanks for that. Headed out to the shop but few questions before I get there! If I do this and tip over again, will I have to do it every single time? What if I left it? Would my brake lock up, or just stay the same? Thanks for the help!
