Don't get anxious to ride until you cover the tree's with dirt like we did one time though,We didn't feel like covering one jump with dirt until later in the day so we started riding and hitting the bare tree jump ,everything was fine until one log shifted and my buddy crashed pretty bad off it breaking his femur.

"Boss" being my Dad. Burying things like bales - not a problem. Couches, trees, rocks, old ladies - problem.
About 3 years ago we had a scraper come in and strip about 3 acres of black dirt off for us to build two hay sheds and a pad for a row of grain bins. The scraper made a huge pile of pure black dirt about 500' from where my track is. Dirt quantity isn't a huge problem, just the hauling of it is. I can't haul much with the 3-ton (1970's model international) so I came up with the idea of burying bales.
I had a hunch there may be a problem with them rotting. I wouldn't use round bales but we have big square (4'x3'x8') straw out the wazoo here. Maybe I'll try it for a year but we'll see. Ground will be hard as rock here soon and I'll start building my snowcross track.
