8/3/2024 5:06pm Hey all… I’m trying to settle down my crf 450 so it’s not so brutal at the crack of the throttle. It was suggested to go from a 13t to a 14t in the front. However, the new sprocket won’t fit unless I remove the hydraulic clutch pump and take off a bracket. The bracket doesn’t look like it does...

8/1/2023 2:47pm He's good thanks.... the best news his girlfriend dumped him and now he has a better one! He's pretty good MX rider but goofed his knee skiing of all things. Keeping off the bike until the trails open in October, then after few trial rides back to MX.... only bummer hes good at volleyball, so that got derailed. Got his guitar skills down during past op as well lol.

8/1/2023 2:40pm So true! Internet trolls who love playing mall cop. You could win the lottery but they can’t wait to tell you how much taxes you’ll have to pay

8/1/2023 2:12pm Sorry to hear about your knee, hopefully the surgery goes well... my son went through this right in the middle senior high! He made it through. Don't forget, the traction control on MX austrian bikes isn't really traction control where the bike senses wheel spin.... when you select TC, it just loads a slower map in each gear, with most power backed off in 1st and not much backed of in 5th... at least, that is what I was lead to believe. Get well soon and good luck.

8/1/2023 2:11pm Thanks for the positive post and encouragement! Not sure why every comment I’ve made so far has been downvoted but whatever. How’s your son doing now? Yeah, it’s a brutal injury and the surgery is even worse but, a necessary evil

8/1/2023 2:03pm A 21 crf450. It has three settings for traction control as well as three engine maps.

8/1/2023 11:57am Yeah, that’s how I feel now! It was nothing more than a routine slide out and then the next thing you know, I’m holding my leg crawling to the side.

8/1/2023 11:54am Traction control was on, I believe the second setting. I was experimenting with it last fall (actually I only wanted to see what it does) and I had just left it there for this ride.

8/1/2023 11:35am Ok, long story short… I was at my local track, a hard packed, dusty place. First ride of the new year and my bike was just how I left it from last year. I believe traction control was set to the 2 position and I really didn’t pay it too much mind because I was just out play riding. Anyway...

rjs3118 Added a reply to Getting my 21 Crf450 ECU remapped. Is there a “works edition” ECU?
9/22/2022 4:38pm Thanks for the information! This is what I was looking for. Not looking to go third party, just want to make sure there is or isn’t a separate ECU from HONDA for the works version

9/22/2022 4:27pm Not 💯 but I believe the dealer service software has a bike model specific menu to choose from. Been a while since I had mine done… So the way I understand it regardless if they are the same or different mapping for WE vs. R, the tech simply selects the correct model bike to update the ECU - you’ll get the correct one. The tech that did mine had never done it, but just followed the service instructions, nearly stupid proof. After they map it recommend mashing all the map/TC/HS modes before you load up to make sure everything is...

9/21/2022 2:13pm Thanks. From what I understand, it’s just a process that is “done by hooking up the computer and getting it to update the ECU” so I’m not sure there’s a part number. Apologize if I misunderstood your comment
