If you have the original forks I strongly recommend you give MX Tech a call and get one of their lucky kits for your forks to drop in that way you're able to have modern suspension technology dampening valving all that fun stuff with the upper and lower tubes that were designed to work with the chassis. The linkage and knuckle are what lower the rear. The shock has a thicker cap to limit travel to keep the wheel from smashing into the fender. I think you need the ktm linkage and a suspension tuner to change the shock cap to a ktm thickness one. You could use the stock shock you would just lose the last 10mm of wheel travel. That might not be a big deal.
