Just going to state the obvious and take the heat for it..... but this is why you don't rush back from a concussion in a sport that requires extreme focus and precision and where being even slightly off can have catastrophic consequences. Not a great idea for a football player either but there's not an extensive list of football players who have died or been paralyzed playing the game.

I really enjoyed Ping's takes when he was on Pulp, early on with the race review podcasts, and his appearances on the main show. I also really enjoyed the first year or so of the Whiskey Throttle show. I stopped listening to the Whiskey Throttle show when GL left, and Ping started to get a little hotter with his takes progressively, until recently when he's gone full Cooksey (full retard). I felt like Ping brought great value in his media roles, similar to JT. I think his inability to separate political views from business relationships has really screwed him.

Well I went and listened to the Whiskey Throttle show and I wish I could get that hour of my life back. It’s quite ironic listening to them say guys like Lewis have never done it, so they sit around and take a tiny bit of truth and speculate meanwhile speculating on everything with Anderson, Lawrence family, Prado etc. Listening to them try to make sense of tariffs and trade deals made me realize these guys don’t read anything but headlines. Never again.

I’ve about had it regarding both Ping and GL. A couple of years ago I would consume everything they put on the internet and I thought that GL did a great job in the booth. But both of them seemed to go bat shit crazy the last couple of years for different reasons. People leave Canada because our industry is too small and career opportunities are virtually non-existant here, not because it's a shithole. Be as it may, Canada has a killer track scene in certain parts of the country, comparable or arguably better than certain parts of the US. Youtube search the Canadian national track from this past weekend, 'Deschambault Motocross', and I gaurantee you will at least appreciate it as a standalone track. Matthes wanted to chase a dream and Canada wasn't in his endgame. Dude took a leap of faith and things worked out great for him in the US...
