I also dont ride tracks without flaggers, unless I'm riding with a buddy who's got my back and can help spot a crash up ahead. The one track near us that has the most jumps and most blind spots is the one with no flaggers. Little kids crash all the time, and you can't see them in the valley between...

Emig mentioned it only once during the main, and briefly. They didnt show it in the heat at all, but in the webcast, it was all they talked about. Instead we got to watch Voss and Carpenter put us to sleep in a batlle for slowest qualifier... Whose the broadcast director, anyway?
Don't feel bad about spending the money online. At some point, people stopped supporting their local livery and cobbler, also. Stuff changes, and it's your loss if you don't adapt and start going with what works for you, just as it's proprietors loss if they bank on selling aftermarket retail in a store.

It's pretty simple. Like any other industry or endeavor, there's only so many dollars available, and the exceptional, stand-out performers are the ones to get it. The rest have to figure out how to survive with crumbs or else go find something else to do. I don't think Trey Canard or Nico Izzi were ever worried about AMA entry fees...
