I wasn't paying much attention and all of a sudden I thought I heard "Free Ringer!" and thought "WTF?"

I just found this thread. Let me explain the story....

I'm a recent subscriber to Sirius Radio and have become a pretty consistent listener of Stern 100 in the mornings and then the NASCAR channel in the day time hours. Anyway, one day last week I'm listening to Dave Moody on the NASCAR channel and he was supposed to have Ray Evernham on to talk about cars. So I thought instead of being one of the hundred other dim wits that called in to talk about Robby Gordon, I'd call and see if I could talk to them about EFI on those race cars and why they still run carbs (I'm still very curious about it).

So I got thru to Moody and it was before the Evernham segment so I asked him about it. Moody said it would never happen due to costs. I laughed and said no way. Moody then also brought up a valid point. He said it would be too hard for NASCAR to control (think: restrictor plates on carbs). Good point. So, right as I was about to hang up and Moody said he'd ask Evernham about it, I said, "Thanks Dave....Free Ringer!", then hung up.

I turned my radio back up just in time to hear it on the delay and laughed my ass off.
