I know what you're referring to with Emig but don't remember enough specifics to step out on a limb and put it in print. I do know there were people questioning how he could still race (like at LL) since the terms of the settlement supposedly were contingent upon that NOT happening, and I believe the loophole was because he wasn't doing it professionally... but again, don't quote me on that.

Tony D. from MXA - TELL US ABOUT YOUR EYE INJURY. I was installing shelves in my garage right after the Anaheim Supercross, and the long screwdriver I was using slipped and cut my eye. I lost all of the 1980 season, but I still wanted to race, so I put a patch over my bad eye and rode with one eye. For 1981 I was on a Maico. The first couple of races were disasters. It was hard to adapt to my depth perception with only one eye. I may have been in the top 10 as a privateer...

3/6/2024 4:18pm Just some questions for my memory : Emig had a Lloyd's of London insurance claim ? If he cashed it ,had to quit? And RJ, his doctor (stupidly ) recommended his wrist be fused(so he could return faster)? And Tony D was working on a carburetor ? And got his eye with the screwdriver ?

Hey fellow Vitards. Just updating some pics of my son Logan Mortberg from RCSX. You might remember he was on the weekend warrior post for Loretta’s last year where he got 4th in Supermini. We moved up to 250s after Loretta’s. He did pretty good at Daytona. 2nd in 450b limited, 7th in 250b limited. Here’s some pics. Be easy on me!

3/6/2024 5:47am At a normal SX the engine oil will last all day and a clutch service is routine. Eli must have been very hard on it and someone changed the oil. The oil fill is usually removed on the covers they run,so it has to be filled from the top cover. Got a little pinched, no big deal, he finished,got second...

As a GenXer, I have a lot of respect for Boomers and the Greatest Generation. At least we were still taught to respect our elders. All of us go through that "I know everything" stage...it's later in life you realize you didn't know shit, least of all what is truly important. Listen to experience and wisdom....you might learn a thing or two.

Honestly, all the media needs to do is… “We reported this or that…& this is what they did or said to us about it.” Just tell the story: ALL OF IT. Good grief team KTM. You look stupid now. I actually thought trying whatever it was you were trying with the forks was great. Shows commitment to doing anything and everything to help your riders be comfortable and faster. But when it gets out (and it’s not like it wasn’t hard to see), you go total douche bag mode on ML. Now you look like total idiots. Just apologize, admit you were wrong for blowing up ML, move on and keep working on improving the bike for Sexton. You look worse now than anything you could have done with the bike.
