They buried it, so no attraction for the sharks. Sunset Beach will probably be pretty stinky for a few years, though.

I was confused, too. jamma10 explained it above. It's all in the math. Or, "Maths" if you're a limey. Cool

"We are in the process of selling our motorcoach, but wife says keep it until the remodel is done so we can have some sort of kitchen. Uggg, gonna miss the best time of the year to sell." Buy a camp stove for the stuff you can't grill. You can even use your grill as an oven (it takes...

This here is football, for those of you unfamiliar: It's "Smear the Queer" with goal posts!

All you need to do to decide if an article like that is worth a grain of salt, is to look at what other "News" is being reported on the site. Every single thing I saw on that page was twisted and/or sensationalized. They do have a sense of humor, though; While I was checking out their other BS, a...

Are you talking about those fat American guys who exert themselves for several seconds at a time?

^^^That explains it, then. Thanks. To be honest, the only football I find worth watching is Aussie Rules. Best sport without wheels, by far!

There was a match on TV at the pub while I was eating lunch just now (yes, it really is a pub). It ended in a 2-2 tie, then they showed the championship celebrations. I couldn't figure out how a tied game ended a championship... Well, congrats to Leicester City, anyhow.

I don't know why it would. Out of curiosity, how many students do you personally have? According to the above article, the striking teachers have an average of 17. Seems awfully low. My sister in law recently retired from the LAUSD (forced out, really), and she had around 40 kids every year.

^^^My son in law did three tours with the Marines in Afghanistan and Iraq, and one of my nephews did a whole bunch of combat deployments in the ME. My father in law has shared some war stories with them, but not us civilians.

My father in law fought in WWII. He was at the Battle of the Bulge, where he earned a Purple Heart. He doesn't like to talk about it. He's 95 and and still kickin' it pretty good.

"Give respect until they lose it----I'm adopting that line!" A little aphorism I made up: You don't need to earn my respect; I give it freely. Whether or not you keep it is entirely up to you.

Did an epic ride yesterday. Wish I would have stopped to get pics of some of the roads we took, but I was having way too much fun. We rode past four motocross tracks on our journey; Elsinore, Pala, Cahuilla Creek, and Perris. Came within a few miles of Ocotillo Wells, too. I also gave up my status of "Fair...

When I was in my twenties, I'm sitting on the beach with my girlfriend (now my wife), and I hear someone behind me saying "Sir?" "Sir?"... I finally turned around to see what was up, and this sixteen or so year old kid says, "Sir, are you in a band?" I said, "Yes I am, and please call me John."...
