I haven’t done a pressure test. I’m a bike mechanic and work on 4 strokes every day but I’m new to 2 strokes and Someone else recommended It earlier but I haven’t had a chance to get the stuff I need to do it yet. And I was thinking the same thing about the pilot jet. Fmf and Honda both...

I picked up a 2002 cr125 in boxes. I went all the way through it and put in a new crank and piston, replaced all bearings and seals in the engine. rebuilt the brakes, cleaned carb, replaced all chassis bearings, rebuilt forks, ect. Anyway i finally finished up the other day and fired it up. bike has an fmf fatty...

That thing looks good. I just went through the same thing. Got in it boxes and went all the way through it. Although I’m still not finished. For whatever reason it has the wrong seat on it and I still need a few other odds and ends. It is finally mechanically done though and I will hopefully get to ride...

Sorry, mid 90s KX125s were 35mm PWK long bodies. I put one on my 01 GasGas MC125 and my 88 Cagiva 125WMX. The 96/97 RM125 has the 36 PWK long body. That is what is going on the 94 GasGas EC125

No, the KX is a short body. Screw top is long body and 3 bolted top is short body.

I’m wondering if anyone knows what bikes came with a 36mm long body pwk air striker. So far I’ve pretty easily found what bikes came with a 38mm long body but most of what I’ve seen of the 36mm are all short body or they don’t know if it’s 36 or 38

I had my mechanic install it and do the jetting and all but I was unsure exactly which one to buy so I messaged JD Jetting and they sent me a link and assured me which version would work best. He did have a slightly hard time at first getting the airboot to fit on the carb but he heated the rubber up with hot water and it did the trick . It runs great, other than the fact that the bike just has a narrow power band. Great mid range and top end, but no bottom so at all...

Is there any reason why you got it from jd jetting. Aside from it already being semi setup for the cr? And how well was it setup from them? Did you have to mess with it much to get it to run well?

Yeah I’ve seen those and I’m sure it’d be the best option. But used ones go between 100$ and 200$. I know it would be much easier but I’m not sure I’m convinced it would be worth an extra 3-400$. Especially considering I would still probably have to mess with the jetting, although much less. I was considering trying to...

Im ordering a used air Striker for my 2002 cr125. I’m wondering two things. Which bike would have closest jetting to start off with? 2 there are a lot of fake air strikers that say keihin on them and look genuine. So is there any way to tell for sure that it is a genuine one and not a knockoff

Oh, gotcha. In that case I’d go with what you can get. I touched on it, but SmokinJoe explained it better-the RAD valve is a great option if you need a new intake boot (Honda calls it an “insulator” I believe) and it’s no longer available from Honda and/or will be hard to get in the future. At least some (if not all) of the RAD valves cast-in most of what would be rubber on the OE boot, then use a straight section of tubing to connect to the carburetor. You’ll be able to find something like silicone coupling for...

Only difference I’ve noticed was better durability going with carbon fiber reeds. They didn’t chip as often. Didn’t notice anything in regards to better performance. I tried both, V-Force and, Boyesen on an 01 CR 250 and, an 04 CR 125. I’ve always been more focused on durability and, reliability anyways.

Main reason I’m asking is because the stock ones are chipped so I figure why not throw something better in it if better is available. That’s the main reason I was wondering if the cage was worth it vs just getting aftermarket reeds
