Mike P. Started a new thread Vintage JT gear I will probably let go of

10/25/2021 1:46am
I say probably as I have had it for years. Someone else in this forum was looking for some of this gear. Most of the pants I have are size 34 and the jersey's are most L, though one or two or SMF and I think two are XL. Vented R&D jersey signed by Rudy and Dean Dickerson is a...

Mike P. Started a new thread 76 Honda CR125 Elsinore Build

9/12/2021 2:55pm
When I joined this forum a couple of months ago I was teething with the whole process of posting topics and didn't realize you can't remove photos (if someone knows how then please let me know). Back then I started a topic about my 76 CR125 Moto-X-Fox build. I now wish I could remove the topic as I put some...

Mike P. Started a new thread Open face helmet

4/22/2020 5:46pm
Does anyone know who makes the best open faced helmet for MX? I know there are a couple of companies out there but I do not know these companies. I suppose really doesn't matter since I plan to only use the helmet at select races on non-hill/whoop infested traccks on my 76 cr125. Mike

Mike P. Added a comment about feature What's Next?

In a perfect world the season would pick up where it left off, but given the way this virus has spread I think the reality is that we will simply pick up the season wherever we are when we get the all clear by the government & everything opens up. The idea of this really sucks because it puts a lot of pressure on the riders and worst of all what if the virus last for the entire SX season...it's up to the AMA, but I image they would have to call a champion based on the current points standings...buckle...

Mike P. Started a new thread AC should be thinking retirement

6/5/2019 10:20pm
Yes he's only 22, but in this sport your pretty much done at 27, so he's 5 yrs away. I agree with one of the other members that moving him to a 450 is not going to make a difference. Cooper Webb and AC had some epic battles on minis, but Webb is in his second year on a 450...

Mike P. Added a reply to AC in the 450 class

5/5/2019 6:11pm
Wow, this has blown up so much more than I intended, but let me clarify a couple of things based on the comments some of you have sent. Yes, Jason Anderson did win like 5 Loretta's titles, but those titles are nowhere near the riders that had the expectation of going on to great things in the pros. To name...

Mike P. Added a reply to AC in the 450 class

5/5/2019 11:49am
Also, Mike Alessi was not put on a 250F because he was too good for the 250F, heck the guy weighed 130lbs when they moved him up...really? He moved to the 450F because Ryan Villopoto waxed him every time!

Mike Alessi like AC were champion prodigies since their mini days and therefore there is a much higher expectation for them than say Jason Anderson whose amateur career was average at best (but he became SC champion). These guys have won their whole lives and now all of sudden they're not That plays into their heads, but also into sponsors...

I agree, he won't be competitive on the 450. He's a smart guy and should go to college or something because he definitely has it in him to be successful, but not as a motocross rider at this level.

Mike P. Added a reply to HRC chain guide

3/26/2019 4:46pm
Hey Bill, and yes they are. I've been procrastinating for months on a lot of my bike projects, but it also took me a bit of time to find the right block to work with for this chain guide. As I said, I have pretty good idea on what to do but a photo would go a long way. Hey...

Mike P. Started a new thread 77 Suzuki RM125B Moto-X-Fox Pat Richer replica

10/27/2018 12:41pm
I had plans to build one of these and just never really got the project off the ground and now I'm selling my 77 on ebay, however my buddy Rich out in OH got it done and here are some pics of the bike. I think this is the 2nd or 3rd one of these replicas I have seen and...
