Yea an entire lap penalty seems kind of crazy. That means that basically no matter what if a rider hits the gate they should just pull off because their race is ruined. I can see giving them a penalty if it gives them an advantage, but a whole lap means your race is destroyed automatically. Seems like the penalty doesnt fit the crime. I’m not saying dont give them a penalty, but even if jett had jumped over the gate jlaw style it wouldnt have given him a 1 lap advantage, so taking away a lap seems too far. Maybe...

I'm surprised that a rider with as many followers as Keefer has couldn't come up with a spare engine if that is what broke. You'd think Triumph would have overnighted an engine if that's what it took to get him back out there. Did anyone hear what happened?

I like Tim alot, but Prado has had the much better season and deserves to be leading IMO. He just had a few weird races, and he lost a ton of points at the muddy rounds. It will be tough for Gasjer in front of Prados home fans assuming the track is dry. I just hope it's a great battle and everyone stays healthy for nations. Anyone seen any video of this track? Was it built just for the GP?

Because there’s nothing to figure out. Our best team would have been Sexton, Tomac and Deegan. Tomac originally pulled out of consideration due to his respect for Plessinger. Deegan did not want to go. Our next best team was Sexton, Plessinger and Hymas. All 3 were on board and ready to compete. Hymas gets injured, Sexton gets injured (maybe) so now we’re left scrambling for the next best team. The only issue is Kawi not sending riders. Barcia’s bike, mechanic and suspension tech are all still available. If they wanted to send that crew, they could. They could literally crate up his current bikes on Monday and ship them with his outdoor settings. In Europe they could test and have JR (suspension tech) set-up something specific for the race…just like they do all year. Barcia rides pretty damn good in that sort of terrain & weather.

Guys, that unpaid job is maybe one of the worst in the industry. If the team wins, riders did amazing. If the team sucks, the team manager sucks and should've picked better guys. Just like coaches or trainers (other than Aldon)... The rider wins, everyone says "it's the rider on the bike". The rider loses, "his coach and his program suck". I think there's a lot of stuff going on behind the scene for a MXDN team that we don't know, rider availability, their will to go, teams not supporting the race, riders having to nurse injuries before the SX...

We were disjointed in 2018 because of Kawi….it’s hard to communicate the availability of an open gate when you refuse to be on the same radio frequency as the rest of the team…don’t forget that Kawi used that race as a test for the new 2019 bike but yet none of the Kawi GP riders rode the new bike…Roger is not the problem here it’s Bruce Stjernstrom and team Kawi…

It’s not just that he manages a competing team, it’s how disjointed we seem to be year after year. 2018 was a comedy of errors for example between tires used gates left open without even mentioning radios. Matthes has mentioned before how little he had to do with him and Ferry when they went in 2003 as well. We need a team manger that will live and breath this event. I don't believe Star was willing to send him. They wanted him to get that screw out and be 110% ready for A1 . Basically protecting their investment in regards to Deegan. That's what I was told.
