8/20/2025 7:49am I got downvoted for saying High Point but that was strictly because it’s super close to home for me. Realistically Unadilla or Spring Creek would be my favored tracks for MXdN. Unless Mad Mike decides to make Steel City great again, then that’s my vote.

This is a bad take. Steve has an issue (as do I) with Deegan cosplaying Captain America during the season and then making excuses not to race MXoN for Team USA for 2 years in a row. I don’t mind when guys opt out of racing MXoN for a variety of wide known reasons that they do, but don’t claim to bleed Red, White, and Blue and then duck the biggest international race that our sport has. In my eyes, Deegs waived the flag to divided fans against the Aussies… it’s all antics for clicks and I just feel like...

He was showing a lot more of the "party atmosphere" in the pits, particularly at Red Bub. Sponsors, investors, and insurance companies see those videos and then that has an effect on MX sport's bottom line. Slowie only has about 20K subscribers, and Cooksey has 41K, but in a sport like MX that is enough to drive a media story. In many ways Youtube and social media has really saved the sport SX and MX, but it has also been a double sided sword in some instances.

Riders switching brands and struggling with bike set up is nothing new. Most recently, Chase to KTM. But I don't recall ever seeing a top rider on a factory machine getting beat by privateers and taking no personal responsibility for it.

7/25/2025 8:34am Not exactly a privateer effort, but Phil’s holeshot at SMX last season had me jumping out of the couch. Honorable mention for the year he started second or third at Freestone and went on to lead the race til he ran out of fuel. E10 years.
