MarkF Added a reply to Best brakes of all time
2/9/2015 10:07am I remember when the YZ 465 (?) came out with the double leading shoes. I put it on my YZ125 and loved it.

2/6/2015 2:42pm Bummer on the truck. No on the open practice.
MarkF Added a reply to Where is everyone riding this weekend?
2/6/2015 1:13pm Yes, its the closest thing we have here to TX dirt. Looking forward to some Cycle Ranch, 3 Palms and Oak Hill in a couple of weeks. I'll be sure to tell the Sweeneys some guy on Vital wanted to give them a hard time.

2/5/2015 11:06am Tough break (no pun intended) for Philippaerts in the first moto. He was sailing over those jumps. Probably what broke his exhaust. That was an exciting moto!
MarkF Added a reply to 2014 SA MX Championship - doping scandal
2/5/2015 9:35am Seems pretty clear to me what went down by the letter that fairplaystan posted. "I would just like to point out that none of the competitors contravened an anti-doping rule violation".
MarkF Added a reply to What's the earliest pic you have of yourself on a MX'er?
2/4/2015 8:11am I'm pretty sure it is Peperell. The fence and rocks make me think so. The only tracks I remember racing at that year was Peperell, Middleboro, Southwick and Pine Top.

2/5/2015 8:26am 1978 RM100. Somewhere in New England. I didn't have any money except what I earned after school as a dishwasher. The boots (to small) and leather pants (too big) were hand me downs from a buddy. I had a $1. tank top with a lame picture of a dirt rider on it over a sweat jacket. Matching tape for numbers...

2/3/2015 2:04pm I'm heading down to Three Palms at the end of the month. If your going to be there I'd be happy to help you with "clearing" the jumps. I'm not sure about the "throwing a whip" thing though. Your size will not keep you from riding well. Its all in your head.

2/3/2015 1:38pm Seems like a real fine young man. I hope you guys can continue to moto together.
MarkF Added a reply to First race in 5 years
2/3/2015 1:12pm Good for you guys. I was at that race with my son. He raced with your boy. I think maybe he was the young man they interviewed over the PA that day? Either way, its good to be at the races with your son just to have fun.

MarkF Added a reply to 2015 YZ250f recall
1/31/2015 12:24pm It is a faulty balancer gear on the crank. Only a limited number of bikes have the bad gear. You can check your VIN # for verification. It is an easy fix. A couple of new gears on the clutch side and some gaskets and retainers and your done.Don't blow it off, because it can cause catastrophic damage.

MarkF Added a reply to Paulin vid.. can he beat RV?
1/30/2015 2:56pm I think Paulin is being overshadowed by Cairoli's greatness. I will not be surprised if he wins his share of races. He looks incredible.

1/30/2015 8:35am RJ came out to the olympic training center here in Colorado Springs to rehab that injury. He raced in a local supercross event I promoted to see how he was coming along. He won.
