Both HRC men look pretty comfortable! MXGP this year will be amazing if everyone stays fit.

In the same way that Canard or Dungey could beat RV, yes. Good start, the right circimstances, etc. Ryan will have to be on his game. I'll be interested to see if the GP regulars adjust their racecraft to match the AMA style that Ryan will bring over, or if he'll adjust to their gameplan. I think they are going to be surprised at his early race speed and may have to move out of the comfort zone a little earlier in the race than usual.

Yes he can. If Dungey can beat Villopoto, Paulin can too. He's been in front of Dungey the last 6 motos in MXdN.

*Paulin and Bobyshev vid!

I think he can win this year he looks super comfortable and fast on that Honda. He's gotta beat everyone though not just RV. I'd feel pretty confident putting money on him to have the red plate at some point this year.

As for Bobryshev, he has the ability to win races when he's at his best. But i reckon if you offred him a few podiums and being able to do every race right now, he would definitely take that. He just needs an injury free season to prove what he can do.

I think that will be one of the most fascinating talking points of the season - who's racing style will have to change.

I don't think he would take that. He races to win, therefore he's often injured. If he's satisfied with staying healthy wouldn't he just ride slower?

That guy is incredible.
He started riding MX only in 2003, by that time Villopoto was already winning some pretty good amateur races for team green if I'm not wrong.
3rd in MX2 and an mxon moto win after 6 years of riding MX!
In the title hunt in 2013 and 2014 before he got injured both times. Won the last GP and dominated the mxon last year. I expect a lot of him. Plus he keeps improving.
We will see what he has this weekend already. Unfortunately RV wont be riding. We will know in a month if its enough to battle RV

Maybe you're right. Perhaps if you offered him a couple of wins and a full season he would take it? Regardless, I think the most important thing for Honda this year is having 2 riders on the gate every race. It's been horrible with injuries for them the last couple of years, especially with Bobby

Those guys need to find a track that is rougher or at least a real sand track to properly prepare for the MXGP's. Tongue

That's the poorest excuse I've heard for a while. If that is true though he shouldn't expect to be picked to ride for team USA ever again.

you know that RV wont be riding on home turn either right?

He can beat RV. On a race, on a week end, he can beat RV. But I don't think he can beat RV after 34 races...

I get your devotion to RV, but he's among the guys that could win a race and/or beat RV.

Good lord, I love the pride of the vital people overseas. It's, how do I say it...Cute.

RV is gonna be Challenged by alot of riders, not just 1 person. With that being said, I really hope he just absolutely dusts them guys, just b/c.

RV is like AC: They are not always the fastest, they sometimes have incredibly bad weekends (RV failing to qualify for the main in 2011!) but they are always there at the end.
On a good day Paulin looks like he could take anybody and has won several races. But at the end of the season? No title to show for.

Isn't it the exact same thing on both sides of the pond? The superlatives about their respective riders seems to be flowing equally much on both sides from where I'm sitting atleast. We need an Australian to decide who's cuter.

Whistling Ya, but Im American, so I have to be correct. Its a Fact...Thats my opinion anywaysWhistlingWhistling

On a serious note, I think its gonna be great racing, but RV is just an ANIMAL. The way those guys ride the sand is unreal though. I think RV will get his ass whooped in Lommel, but he has everyone else covered else where.

I've been a big fan of Gautier Paulin since he came over for a few West coast rounds a few years back. I think he has the best chance of any rider to be able to challenge Villopoto and Cairoli all season long. There's a reason why he kills it at MXoN, he's one of the best in the world.

The real question is will AC be able to beat RV? Tongue

RV is going to add a lot of excitement this year. RV will get some wins and maybe the title, but it not going to be easy. It's going to be a lot of fun to watch the GP's this year Cool
