Crazy amounts of water on the track yesterday. The woops were in the state of a mud race for the first MX2 race during a hot dry weekend! There were way more lines on Saturday but with the ripping and constant watering on Sunday it just ruined it. Constantly watering jump takes offs and landings is crazy.

Saturday the track was mega. I can't remember the last time I saw actual berms on an MXGP track. Sunday it was like they decided to treat it like a club weekend (because almsot every club treats tracks like this in the UK) and rip it 8" deep then soak the living daylights out of it. Puddles everywhere in the first mx2 race. I mean if we want tracks to be like this then just have the sport run from October through to March and lets all have the summer off, right now this sport has a rut obsession problem...

The Chav is disappearing, you don’t see that many anymore. They seem to have been replaced by an even more degenerate sub-culture, that of the roadman.

The minority seem louder than the majority, that applies to the GP campsite and politics. As mentioned, weed is smoked everywhere all the time from the streets to the practice tracks to the race tracks, it's become so normalised, and with that other drug use is following suit. I've even witnessed riders at the track puffing on a spliff, it's replaced normal cigarettes for some. Normally I would be at the GP but I'd already committed to doing a big gig this weekend, it's a shame because I always enjoy it along with the group that I go with. Steve...

Infront really likes to keep the EMX250 class because it's a cashcow. "The step-up to MX2-class" is promotion talk, nothing more.

Marcel Stauffer should be in MXGP fulltime, time and again he's proven his speed. It'd be interesting to see how he went in the American outdoors too if he ever did it.

Mitch Evans is back according to that entry list! Also Monticelli, Lapucci etc. that's a decent entry. First time i've seen Glen Meier in the GP paddock for a few years.

Good to have Finland on the calendar but that makes 13 (!) EMX250 rounds, surely that's a bit overkill for what is meant to be a training championship for MX2! EMX250 hits MX2 entries as well, after injuries it may be that there are less than 20 MX2 riders by that point.

Benjamin Pascual who is riding in MX2 this weekend actually competed in the Dakar Rally in January. Riding in the Mission 1000 class for non-ICE powered bikes he finished third in class, winning the prologue and final stage.

What happened with Benjamin Garib? I take it there was no oppurtunity for him in the MXGP paddock but did he try to put anything together in the US?
