No more Portugal, Galicia or Maggiora, that's a shame... Instead Cózar and Frauenfeld stay on it. Two in France seems logical, aswell as (only) two this time in Italy. The free date at the 4th of May could be at Matterley in the future. A WMX round in Australia makes no sense at all.

Lol, 3 fly away GP’s at the end of the year. Australia, absolutely worth the try. China and Turkey are a waste of money imo
You sure Argentina gets GP? I would guess Milei would wanna slash the government expenses even on MXGP. Also Spanish GPshould be in Lugo or other tracks with elevation imho.
I'm glad at least Arroyomolinos is of the calendar. Last season three GP's in Spain, two of them manmade on parking lots, while there are tracks like Talavera de la Reina, Bellpuig or Vilafamés. I hope one of those gets the Spanish round. Or Lugo again, but with Prado leaving, I think that's a no go.

Off the record, is there still a track in Orehova Vas? If there is, it's probably too small anyway.
So one out of Matterley or Agueda is not going to get a GP next year, meanwhile we have Italy, Spain, France & Indonesia having more than one. I might be old fashioned but a country should only have 1 gp a year just my opinion.
What happened with Brazil, it was only a few weeks ago they were hinting it was going back there next year?
I'm not that sure about Australia either. I think it's the worst possible date they could get. Halfway the season following (or prior) one Indonesian round (preferably Sumbawa) instead of two, might work. There were barely any riders at this years last round - in Spain for pete's sake -, so you can imagine the turnout at the other side of the globe. To add a WMX-round is even more ridiculous.
Yeah, probably some nice wildcards like Webster, Waters, Gibbs etc., but still. Missed opportunity, imo.
I know the MXdN is at Ironman but wish they would bring back a US GP. I feel that's the best chance at warming up to the possibility of a combined MXGP-AMA race.
I totally agree with DeStouwer that holding a WMX round in Australia is madness.
Australia at least has a proper national championship.. that should attract at least 10 riders per class
6 fly aways is way too much. 3 to (max) 4 would be better, with 1 round per country in Europe.
The GP of Indonesia has been cancelled and replaced by Finland, at the Kymi Ring. EMX250 and EMX125 get an extra round aswell.
Not sure if this is an improvement as it's located at an existing racetrack.
Infront screwing with people’s budgets while the season is well underway. I have nothing against a round in Finland instead of Indonesia but 13 EMX rounds is pure madness.
It's great for the MXGP and MX2 teams/riders who where planning to do Indonesia. But for the others it's not a great alternative and for EMX an extra burden.
From Lommel (kind of the centre of MX in Europe i would say) it is a 30 hour trip if you go nonstop.
By that time in the season the EMX classes have done roughly 10 rounds. I would expect a lot of guys outside the top 10 will not make the trip. Same for the wildcard GP riders who do most of the EU rounds. Unless they are from Scandinavia or the baltics i don't see them making the trip.
Good to have Finland on the calendar but that makes 13 (!) EMX250 rounds, surely that's a bit overkill for what is meant to be a training championship for MX2! EMX250 hits MX2 entries as well, after injuries it may be that there are less than 20 MX2 riders by that point.

Track in Finland doesnt exist yet so it will be build inside road racing circuit on flat land.
Yes i know where finland is. But i agree with Marco and rocketship. They now added an extra round to both EMX classes, going for 13 and 11 emx250 and emx125. It is an insane number of rounds and i expect many riders to not make the trip.
What would have made a bit more sense would be:
* Do Finland right after Latvia, which makes the trip a lot easier for everyone not from scandinavia/baltics
* Not include EMX125 in this gp but keep them at 10 races
* Have EMX250 in, but not as an extra race but drop turkey from emx250
* Have WMX in both at Latvia and Finland, but drop Turkey and Australia from their calender.

Honest question for our finnish brothers. Is kymi ring a thing?
I thought it was just a classic money scam/embezzlement after the MotoGP round were cancelled for last idk, like million years. Don't get me wrong i love that there is GP in Finland i would have thought that if it happens it will be in Vantaa or some other non-fictional venue.
Well, over the last couple of years, the race would host the Finnish Grand Prix in MotoGP. Due to the pandemic, the race was cancelled two years in a row. In 2022, the race was again on the MotoGP calendar, but it was cancelled due to "homologation work and the risks caused by the current geopolitical situation in the region", referring to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. After this, concerns arose about the financial situation of the circuit and the races of the World Motocross Championship and the Nitro Rallycross, which were also to be held at the Kymi Ring, were also cancelled. In July 2022, the developer of the circuit was placed in liquidation. So all in all, not the most stable venue I suppose.
