Pretty decent get for TM to have a 2nd rider in MX2. 

Max Nagl will switch to Triumph aswell, trying to defend his latest ADAC title. Is Haarup going to race, or just stay in Georgia for testing?

He'll be in Europe for most of the testing. There's not a lot of point in him riding perfectly groomed US tracks when he'll race places like Loket, Trentino etc in 2026. 

Could we imagine a deal between AIT Fantic team (Petrov's team) and Paturel to do european races in MXGP category for 2025?

If he’s gonna pay his own ride, then there is a chance. 

I don't think it would be the plan for Paturel to pay to ride...

Then he’s out for MXGP I guess. 

Except for an hypothetic fill-in ride, maybe...

That’s maybe possible, but if I was a team owner I was looking for other options instead of Paturel. For example, Guillod.

Guillod is actually in the same weird situation than Paturel, yes...

But he will be behind the gate on a private Yamaha, as long he won't have a decent fill-in ride.

IMO it’s not a weird situation, they are (getting) old and seems that they are both not easy to work with. 

Guillod is top 10 material and Paturel top 12 material in MXGP category.

And not so "old".

They deserve a ride for the 2025 season.

Not so old, but both 30+ if I’m correct. 
 

Deserve is always a big note, if they pay like almost everyone who’s doing motocross, they are part of the MXGP class. 

Glad he got something, but what a bummer of a situation for him.  Professional test riders should be at the end of their racing careers, not during their prime.  A 23 year old top 10 rider should be racing.  I think it's also kind of weak to have career 250 guys in the US, but at least they out there getting paid for gate drops. This won't do much to get Haarup race ready for 2026 IMO but I hope it goes well for him...

Agreed, when Paturel took his helmet off at Riola Sardo he looked like McElraths dad. 

Paturel would actually smoke every younger british rider on a 450..

Which bit of that makes him a better bet than a younger guy with no ride. 

He has had enough goes at it now, do you think he is worth a seat in place of any of the other riders. 

The expectation he is going to do better in 2025 , is not based on any kind of logic . 

He won the MXoN, so he is obviously a decent rider, and was in 250 when it was as deep as it has been, but he hasnt  been good enough even occasionally. 

If he had money, he should do AMA outdoors, that would be cool. 

Just kind of "bench racing" with PhilG. Nothing serious.

Paturel isn't actually taking any seat to youngers riders. 

With that kind of logic, you must get along very well with InFront people...

Yeah, the De Baerts deal was all his own thing, for him. 

If we had more guys like him, 10-15 would be far harder, thats for sure. 

He has just turned 30, and is 2 years younger than Febvre, but he doesnt have a WC to fall back on. 

Its a hard time to be chasing a seat.

The group riders who do just a couple wildcards will end up being 10+ riders and then at Lommel, Teutschenthal and Loket we should have some EMX250 riders wildcarding as well since there is no emx250 round.

It looks like more mx2 riders compared to last year at this point, but maybe that just feels like this because there are no injuries at the moment. 

Rumors of a split between Karssmakers and Riley Kawasaki...

Not a good sign for Guyon, if you ask me.

What happened with Benjamin Garib? I take it there was no oppurtunity for him in the MXGP paddock but did he try to put anything together in the US?

Brazilian championship in 2025.

Kind of a shame. I expected a bit more from him last year after some of the results in 23, but he is a pretty good rider
