Quite the battle going on in the WMX right now!

Kiara must be ruing not getting past Valk before Guillen got her.

Be interesting to see if Lotte gets up to the 1st 3.

And, Guillen gets to the front.

The last 2 GP's, Romain scored a total of 95 points, while Lucas scored 111. Lucas reduced the gap from 59 to 43 points, 16 points difference. At this rate, if he continue to win and Romain is consistent like he was the last 2 GP's, it will take 6 rounds for Lucas to close the gap. That's only IF they both stay off the ground.

Both are known to have issues staying off the ground.

I wouldn’t be overly surprised if we see a Glenn Coldenhoff title this year.

Just wondering. If Herlings gets on a roll and wins a bunch of races, how close would he get to the top 3 of championship standings this year?

Just getting into the top 5 would be a miracle already.

WMX race 1

+0.000 = Daniela Guillen

Suprising 5th place for Lotte Van Drunen. I would have expect her to come back a little but she was never really faster than the front runners.

That Over The Bars ( Bonacorsi ) into the first corner was Brutal!

Brought down a bunch of riders.  Fernandez looks to have lost a bit of skin on his RH arm from it.

Good to see Geerts having a battle with Febvre.

Yikes, here comes 'Large' Coenen

So wrapt for Geerts - I hope he can keep this going.

Febvre - noooah! Every point is going to be important.

Then, Coenen - Yoinks!

Good race - track held up well, and, is quite good / pretty.

Yep. Finally got a start. I'd be willing to bet he's passed more riders than anyone this year mainly because his average start has been close to 30th. Hopefully he can keep this up. I will say he looked really comfortable up front.

Great ride by Geerts although his suspension looks like crap compared to the guys around him. Very strange.
Hopefully this gives him some confidence that he can build on

For some reason the track reminds me of Patagonia Argentina, just a bit shorter

Momma Kiara gets her first GP Overall in (quite ) a few years!

Now that's just so cool.

To my knowledge, she's had ( at least ) 2 children, and she's come back in the last few years, from semi retirement.

I'm ever impressed / amazed at the physiological changes some Woman go through after having children. Kiara was always very much of the 'build' of Guillen: solid / stocky. And you knew she was very bloody fit with that. Now, she's a fair bit less 'solid'. I've seen this happen with quite a few Women close to me - they have children, and they  have very marked changes in their physique, and then continuing / regaining sporting success.

Anyway, it's great to see her doing so well, and up to 2nd in the Championship, behind Lotte. I think she might be only just short of being twice the age of Lotte, as well.
