Moto Braap Liked a comment about Feature Austin Forkner's Gut Wrenching Crash in Arlington | Replay
2/25/2024 2:55pm Deegan got his win with apparently aggressive riding on Forkner just like it appeared that another generational talent Jett did where it looked like he could have taken down Forkner bumping into a tuff block since it didn’t look so innocent how his bike completely crossed the track with his skill level and I didn’t hear about any particular part getting stuck like the comment below where the fork lug clipped thinking riders can sometimes be too aggressive. If Austin reads Vital Mx he can feel flattered that there’s a possibility that the best in the business 2 generational riders...

2/25/2024 11:27am I’d be looking behind me too if Deegan was talking about a fight to the death, going for blood, and trying to take me out once already in the heat race. Metal Mulisha spiked chest protectors and sticking out your venom snake-bite cobra tongue is cool in freestyle but premeditated run-ins shouldn’t be celebrated or encouraged in Supercross. Post-race Deegan said, “I was ready to cook up a nasty battle at the end.”

Based on 2022 officiating, AMA would have dealt with Mookie geting injured by extending Bam Bam's probabtion period or some other meaningless action.. BFD

Until the talented clean riders are all out with injuries. Hypothetically, let's say Barcia took out Mooky's knee ending his career. Who would provide the retribution to stop Barcia's behavior. The sport is already dangerous enough, we don't need the riders t-boning each other. TM

You keep hearing things like "its for money"; "its for the championship"; "o.k. if it was the last lap"; B.S. nonsense. There has to be a line and it has to exist throughout and regardless or we have another sport. Aggression is great; rubbin is racin is fine. But when the line is crossed the line is crossed and if excused we have a different sport all together and anyone can do it. You saw Malcolm look back cause he kind of felt it coming knowing who he just passed. That is an advantage/disadvantage situation in itself. The AMA has...

They should of docked him one position as well giving him a 4th. Why they didn’t is beyond me.

3/21/2022 2:36pm I don't think the penalty is intended as an appeasement to anyone. I'm guessing the AMA is attempting to establish a formal process of escalating consequences, and take back authority by first warning, and then enforcing their line in the sand regarding aggressive racing vs. overly-aggressive riding. If they don't do this then riders who generally race clean feel compelled to self-police overly aggressive riders via retribution like we saw with Bogle and Stew and it just escalates from there. When you see riders like Barcia and Friese openly express that they view their riding as merely racing, it only...

4/3/2017 4:30pm I read from another who was at the race that Reed was getting jeered (not cheered) as he ducked into the tunnel. I imagine it went both ways.

4/3/2017 4:28pm Yea, I wouldn't bet on it either, but it is possible. I used to watch a little Tennis, but always turned it off when McEnroe was on (that guy was truly a dick). I certainly would not watch Football if Kapernick was giving his analysis. No comparison to what Reed did, but you get the picture.

4/3/2017 4:20pm No, but it will be remembered. And it adds to the pile. At some point, there is too much and may be he reached it the other day. BTW, your straw man of Reed v. Dungey as commentator is just that. Who said anything about a comparison between those two.
macdaddy31 Added a reply to Vital MX Poll: Should Chad Reed Receive a Penalty?
4/3/2017 11:51am Actually, Reed probably cost himself big time. If he had value after his racing career as a commentator or selling product, I imagine it has diminished significantly.

4/2/2017 9:37am For those who say Dungey should have just passed him ... Dungey fighting for Championship. Reed showed aggressive posture in heat race and has history of taking people out. I don't think Dungey wanted to risk that and go from 2nd to 15th and out of first place contention. For those who say Dungey should have kept his mouth shut...
