I only tried the N3CW needle with the 5.65 slide. This is what Digger recommended to me. If your bike runs great with the CCL needle, I would not experiment with the N3CW. I just ordered the #6 slide to test with the CCL needle. I will do back to back testing with the 5.65 slide and N3CW needle. I’ll post up my thoughts once I get some testing done.

Good to see some of Tony Wynn and Sam Roger's history here. I watched Tony, Joiner, Jordan as a kid. We were a Yamaha dealer from Russellville back in the day. Very cool. My "uncle" Tony Wynn rode the first yz250 monoshock version for Dirty Distributing, the one that Cycle news did the article on. Been thinking about making a replica since the parts are so hard to find. A member here has that bike, I emailed them for some info but I think it went to the junk folder. Brent

I had YZ80A with a Noguchi kit. Head, barrel, carb and down pipe, Funnily enough only 72cc as well. Tripled the horsepower, and revved it's ring off. About 13,000 rpm if I remember right. Good way to teach a 10 year old how to ride. 125's in comparion were torquey.

Good stuff Grant! I was watching Covington all day, he has skills. Looks like a confidence problem, he needs to spend a week with A-Ray and see what sending it looks like.
