These filters are way better than the stockers but I found on my 79 model the carb bounces up & down eventually tearing the inlet manifold as it is unsupported at the rear, The filter or the rear of the carb needs something to hold it in place, I cut a piece of rubber sheet to fit inside the airbox...

As above, Maybe an ex team bike with all the fruit removed, I notice there appears to be welding of the crankcase under/around the inlet, Perhaps a factory mod? I think you may have something a bit special there

Have you tried loctite on the splines,make sure both surfaces are clean (no oil grease or rust etc) & that you put the shifter in the right spot first time,you will have some time to re adjust if not before it goes off,if possible leave overnight to cure

Here's 2 of mine,75 K2 model done as a dirt tracker with pipe, big carb,big bore kit & CDI & 74 K1 with megaphone,big carb,CDI & longer shocks & forks,got a 73 awaiting a stock resto & 77 awaiting resto with DG swingarm etc
