All the tracks start out wet & muddy now….but most tracks don’t open if rain in the forecast….I can remember when we first started riding, we didn’t care about rain or mud, we just love to ride…..I”m old also…I don’t mind some mud but if its pouring rain out……I”m out😂….

7/27/2026 6:08am Now that im old, if my track is wet and muddy, im not riding on it. Hate cleaning my bike after and I hate being out of control and all over the place. I like to have that smooothhhh flow.

Is Hughes right? How many of us don't ride in the rain anymore? I don't, don't like the mess of cleaning up the bikes after. But this was me in the early 00's at Bremen. I remember vividly how badly I wanted to ride that day, in spite of light rain and 40 degree temps. When I rolled up that Saturday I was the only person there other than the gate lady. She said ma'am you can ride for free today, knock yourself out!

The fabric with the AXO logos woven in on the pants was one of the coolest details that I am surprised hasn't been done by anybody else again. The sayings on the insides of the collars and little details like that made them so cool. So many little things that You didn't know about until You got the gear and looked closer. It was cool that there was always something that You could "find" if You looked over the gear closely that wasn't highlighted in the adds.

Fortunately the spring size had already been changed for a rider my size. 210lbs w/gear. Got a bolt kit and went through and replaced as many bolts as I had available. 7/23/2026 7:18am Traded my beautiful 2009 KTM 150SX for this POS clapped out 2018 CRF450R. Not even sure WTH I was thinking that day. Needs all kinds of work due to neglect, but the engine and clutch seemed to be fine. No hour meter, so need to do a leak down test to see whats actually going on. First parts order placed.

I never intended to make this a build thread, but after thinking about all the awsome builds I have enjoyed reading about on here I decided to do it. Maybe it will help inspire someone else. I have been toying with putting a Yamaha Blaster engine in a modern frame to create a low maint, light and fun play bike for years.
