I'm a goon but I am also an engineer and kind of sensitive to changes and differences. Personally I tried both on a 250 two stroke with Emig lock-ons and thin 100% gloves, so no additional padding like thick grips or winter gloves. Besides the minor bend difference I didn't notice any harshness or vibration differences.

V2 seems more durable with the hinges and some material. V1 flex’s more and is more comfortable

jrmy_1 Started a new thread Chinese adjustable / breakaway shorty levers

8/29/2023 10:37am
Saw an older post about Chinese levers from 2015 but figured there's been a lot of changes since then and I'd like to focus on shorty, adjustable breakaway designs. I've got adjustable arc levers now and don't want to spend the coin in case I don't like the shorter levers. Looking for recommendations/ options for a cheaper adjustable breakaway lever...

If I had to guess, the Luxon might not be stronger than the Fastway, but they are probably equal strength at a much lower weight. The design appears much more purposeful and engineered whereas the Fastway are essentially a frikkin block, lol

I got tired of the whole KTM bar mount issue and bought the Luxon handlebar holders. They are awesome. I wound up replacing the mounts on my KX450 with the Luxon as well. No issues and happy with the mounts (i'm picky as hell because i'm old).

Anyone have compared first hand the original A10 vs A10 V2? Looking to pick one up, primarily interested in most ventilated without compromising protection. The original can be had for less than $200, I've seen as low as $160, but the V2 is $260. Let me know your thoughts!

jrmy_1 Started a new thread 2017 KTM 450 SX chain, sprocket & teeth

I need new chain and sprockets for my 2017 KTM 450 sxf. Currently looking at dirt tricks sprockets and DID XRING chain. Anything better out there? What about sprocket teeth? Stick with standard or change ratio? This will be 90% mx track use in Middle michigan. Thx!

The reason I like Leatt is the thigh pads wrap around the front a little more than the rest. Frame on the inside of your thigh hurts, Leat offers more protection.

Same…Started wearing these shorts after bruising my tailbone several years ago…they are very comfortable and provide great protection. Can’t ride without them ..

We have wore these in TLD for years. They seem to do the job. We’ve tried some others, but they are either too bulky or too “slick” inside of the pants I guess you could say. TLD grips the pants better IMO. Hope this helps.

Best I’ve ever worn were the KTM power wear. Unfortunately they are no longer available. Bought the Fox but can’t stand them. Wore them twice and never again. They are FAR too obtrusive in the crotch area. Literally go straight up your butt. No way anybody product tested these before being released. I had an old pair of EVS that were good also. Just enough padding where they were still comfortable. Can’t find the original EVS or KTM. Will probably try the TLD recommended in this post.

I have the Alpinestars shorts. I like them but haven’t tried on the Leatt. The fact that they have the tailbone protection via the actual hard plastic is the reason I purchased. My only wish is sizing up. I’m a 31 waist & the small is too damn right. Oh well. Carry on

I wear Pearl Izumi cycling shorts for the anti monkey butt padding, they work great. Are you looking for comfort or protection?

The Fox Titan ones work well, they have pretty large hip pads and have a big cycling style pad in the crotch which is great for woods riding when youre riding a long time and doing a lot of sitting. Also I dont have much of an ass so any undershorts with hip pads make my pants stay up better.
