I see two options, wait for the Cone Valve or do the KYB sss cartridge conversion.... As Joe pointed out revalving the 4CS is the last option, and in my opinion it's NOT an option. Been on the AER's a couple times, just not fond of an air fork, they take constant attention, and they certainly don't out perform the...

Yea, spoke to Corey several times, very informative, and that's what stimulated me going to the KYB carts. Corey tunes back to back with the 4CS valved, and the SSS conversion. He will tell you himself, although he gets the 4CS working good, they're not KYBsss, just can't get it... It's great you didn't have to spend the extra money...

I might add Pirate experience is with the closed chamber, totally different animal then the 4CS. I road several CC forks that worked well. I've NEVER been on a set of 4CS that worked well.

Buying a set of forks worked for me, ONLY because I bought the whole bike, took the forks off of it and sold the bike for the same price. Got a set of forks but didn't cost me anything, guess I have to watch what I say... LOL.... Just to note again! Cone Valve forks can challenge several rider types...

Not a bad point, and that's why I purchased a set of WP forks to build out with the KYB carts. Selling, just put the 4CS back on. Where can you buy a set of WP cone valve forks for $2800? I believe that's just the kit, and not the full fork. So that doesn't help. You are saying there's...

It's best to call Jonathan up at TBT, but I would say $350 to $450, but it all depends on the year forks and their condition. And yes, it's a very cost effective way to get TOP quality suspension, and to me it's a no brainer if you own a bike with 4CS forks.

Just a note... Certain years take less labor to modify, I'm gonna say from 2012 to 15 Yamaha, but best you contact Jonathan. Also would like to note quality, a clapped out set of forks you end up having to put more parts in it, hence spending a little more up front for a good set of forks. You wont...

After testing the 16's myself, have to agree, and have said that that even the 15's in stock (or just barely tweaked) form are better then all the modes the tuners are doing. Once these tuners address even the slightest midstroke spike the fork and chassis come apart, then the chase for balance begins. I road a couple 16's out...

Awesome set of forks and will runs circles around ANY 4cs revalve....and have a better feel for most riders than cones. Looking forward to hear about testing! I have the first set of KYB conversions Jonathan at TBT did, have never looked back. Very good info above regarding the conversion, just want to add to it. Right now he can...

Yea, everyone has good reason to search out another manufacturer because of the 4CS, but after riding all the 15's and 16's, I'm really glad I stuck it out with the KTM and did the KYB cartridge conversion. If you're like me and don't like air forks your choices are limited. I like my KYBsss carts better then the cone...

Yea, my friend went that direction and just bought a triple clamp and bolted his YZ forks on his 2015 KTM250sx, but you lose the breaks, etc. Since I've had my done he converted his 4cs and loves it. With his 4cs conversion he needed to purchase (2) CC lugs, axle, wheel spacers, and fork guards on top of the...

The arm pump, mid stroke harshness, and deflection is typical to EVERY 4cs set I've ridden, in stock form as well as re-valve. As I mentioned above, KYB carts are the way to go, as chasing the 4cs to work in all-around conditions is frustrating to $ay the least. I used the WP CC conversion technique on mine, but my...

Definitely coming to this thread late, and after reading most of them it's is fair to say the forks don't work for most. Typically off road riders can get them to work decent, but very few if any get a good MX setup. Here's my two cents, and based on owning 2015 KTM 450, with around 80 hours of track...

I'm guessing the reason is when a product gets produced a quantity is generated to lower cost. Doubt their just gonna eat the fork / parts on the shelf, so Europe gets the cream, and we get to eat the old fork design. Makes sense. I'm new to the thread, but have the cure. I've been riding a 2015 KTM...
