I've done a search and have come up empty-handed.

Is there a plastic conversion kit that will make older YZ's look just like the new model with updated plastics? I'm not referring to a UFO kit that already accomplishes the update… I'm referring to something and where the airbox & side number plates look exactly like the new model (new airbox style)?

No, but I believe you could order the new oem parts and achieve the desired look.

Does all the new OEM parts still line up on a 2007 yz250?

It's funny that you seem focused on the OEM side panels. I was just telling my son that I think my updated UFO side panels look much better than the 2015 OEM YZ side panels. But in fairness, I have yet to see a 2015 YZ with graphics/backgrounds/numbers.

I've seen the bike in person & a UFO kitted bike looks better, to me.

I'd run the UFO kit all day...but, that's just me.

I guess beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Thanks for your feedback however. I'll have to take another look at the UFO kit.

I am almost certain the new parts will bolt right up to the '02 and newer bikes. All the bolt holes are in the same places. (I think the '04 models had a change to the numberplate mount or sometime around then.)

Meh... I just like the new 2015 side plates better.

They both look better than how my 07 looks currently. So that's a bonus!

Buy a 15 airbox. And 15 plastics. Will make your 05 or newer look like a 15. Subframe for 15 is same part # as 05-14.

Is it UFO that has the update kit for the YZ85's? I saw it linked a few weeks ago & now can't find any info anywhere? IT was an update kit for all 4 85's? Front & rear fenders................

Yes, it was UFO. They also have updated, restyled fenders for the KX65.
My graphics are MGX. I believe it's their dynamic series.

Buy a 15 airbox. And 15 plastics. Will make your 05 or newer look like a 15. Subframe for 15 is same part # as 05-14.
The subframe is a different number. Just did the conversion on my bike. The only difference seems to be that the new airbox only uses 2 bolts on the top of the subframe rather than 4. So likely, the new number is just a subframe without those extra tabs. Just wanted to throw it out there in case someone else was trying to figure out why the part numbers were different. New airbox and new plastic kit is all you need.

I like the look of the stock '15 better than the UFO personally. I have an 03 125 and am looking at going this route over the winter.

Has anyone tried installing the 2015 airbox on an 02-04?

There are two clips on the air box that are different as well. They hold the side panels on.

I am currently doing the conversion on my YZ250.

here is my buddies bike after it was done.

2014 YZ250 with the 2015 plastics.

Just the opposite for me.
New airbox is huge and ugly IMO...
