Yep it's been done.subframe is the same from 02 onwards so no problem with the airbox.

Nice bikes guys! I have an 09 yz450f. I have the Cycra 10-13 front fender that's made to bolt straight up to the 06-09s, maybe some earlier ones too. Can't recall. I've got the stadium front plate, I have the power flo side plates, forks guards & rear fender. All really nice & updates the bike. I couldn't use the power flow shrouds because nobody makes graphics that fit them. They looked updated & nice too.
My question is, has anyone tried bolting up these updated side plates/rear fender from UFO? I love those & would love to be able to update my bike with them. Does anybody know if a yz250 air box would fit so I could do this? I wished UFO made this same kit for the 250/450F's too!!

How do you like that aftermarket ignition, what or how does it change the powerband and what brand?

The motor is a bored and stroked JMS performance motor at 150cc. The motor comes with his preprogrammed Vertex ignition to match the motor mods. The bike is an absolute beast with 42hp. We thought the EG144 was a great improvement but this bike is way beyond that. Call James Saylor at JMS Performance if you want a YZ competitive with the 250F's. Its the perfect bike for the women's class depending on the size of the rider. My daughter is on the smaller side and prefers the light feel of the YZ but the 250 is just a little too much. Having said all that we did buy a 2016 KTM 250SXF to give the 4 stroke a try. Would have bought blue if there was an electric start! If she likes the KTM, this baby will be up for sale!

Here are two pics, one of a 2014 YZ 250 and the other of a 2015 YZ 250. Cycra Racing is now producing YZ 125/250 plastic kits. They currently have full kits available for the 2015-16 models, but as you can see in the top picture, they are developing a side plate that will work with the 2002-2014 air box also. Those side plates will be available soon, however the other pieces (shrouds, fenders, fork guards) will all bolt up to any model 2002 and up.

Here's a link to the 2015-16 Cycra YZ 125/250 Powerflow kits: http://cycraracing.com/products/bodies/powerflow-body-kits/yamaha/

It's funny that you seem focused on the OEM side panels. I was just telling my son that I think my updated UFO side panels look much better than the 2015 OEM YZ side panels. But in fairness, I have yet to see a 2015 YZ with graphics/backgrounds/numbers.
I agree! Just some old 2008 I've got laying around... Their all sexy, it's what's under the hood...LOL!

What rear fender is on the bike in the top picture? (with the older airbox).txs.

SMEZMX, that is a yellow Cycra two stroke rear fender. It was made specifically for these two bikes, which will be featured in an upcoming MXA article. They also made a red fender like in the attached picture. Cycra is considering releasing these limited plastic and graphic kit colorways as a package deal once the 2002-2014 side plates are ready for retail. Thanks.

They did have a full yellow kit on the website but it's been removed for some reason?

Then you have to deal with the gas tank situation too. I'd love to see a sticky thread (maybe in the Race Shop section) that has the years, parts, what they look like and where you can get graphics and tanks if needed. There are so many moving parts...

Need a yellow tank for if you are going to rock this setup. Too bad Cycra doesn't make the tank so it all matches up.

I will be doing the yellow conversion on my 05Yz295 that I race in the woods. I want it to match my 16 yz450. Just have to find someone that makes the graphics for the restyled yellow plastic.

Clark makes yellow and black fuel tanks. I sold my 3.2 gallon ims tank on ebay this week and I ordered the black stock capacity tank. I didn't know which color to order yellow or black so I just went with black hopefully it will look good once im done.

Man yellow tank and all yellow setup would look very sick. I might just bite on that.

Can you use the stock 07 intake boot with the 15 airbox?
