ikeG Started a new thread MX fuel tank range

Going to try a woods race this weekend, AWRCS in PA. Does anyone know if I can make it more than 1 lap on a 1.8gal moto tank? I see they average 10-12 mile laps. 2020 450sxf.

The way they(Deegans) operate, if you didn't pick him for the 250 titles this year, you're automatically a hater. Some of the media guys, that didn't pick him(understably), mentioned this occasionally this summer. Weege and I think matthes too

This is what I was getting at. I'm not disappointed in their performance at all, just noticed the finer details during maintenance etc. If someone asked before I did, I would definitely chime in with my experience despite liking the brands. Thanks

If I stripped them out, I would agree. But finding them stripped on both bikes I bought used, both good condition, just wandered.

I was out of moto for 10 years. Owned 4 straight Hondas from 2002 until 2012. I now have had 1 Husky and 1 KTM for the last year. 1 2017 and 1 2020. No big complaints but they have fit & finish issues that I don't remember having on my Hondas. Things like all the fastener heads get rusty...

I'm in the same boat as you, I've been telling myself that if I come off the track after a moto and my arms hurt worse than my legs, my riding posture/technique was wrong. Use legs, legs, legs.

ikeG Started a new thread Wheel set recon

I have factory edition wheel sets on my sxf and they are getting pretty tired looking. Is there a company that will re-anodize(or whatever finish process they use) and rebuild wheel sets or is it better/cheaper to just buy new sets?

I bought my 2020 450 sxf used, already had 1 tooth bigger on the countershaft. Initially i thought i should go back to stock but i love it, mellow power. I'm 37 vet rider.. My 2017 fx350 seems snappier even, but it's all in the gearing. Only downside is idling thru pits, the taller gearing makes idling in 1st gear...

I've been having problems with my clutch slipping after it gets hot. 2020 450sxf. Late in motos the plunger will not return out the entire way, so the clutch slips when u get back in the throttle. There is fluid leaking at the plunger area. I've bled it twice, no change. The fluid seems like it gets dirty quickly.. ...

Thats what i assumed would be my advantage with one. Less effort to go from seated to standing. But when the seat i had my eye on said its 1 inch taller, that seemed like a lot. How much taller is yours?

I am 6ft 1in and have already put Flo lower pegs on and handlebar risers. I like the setup(2020 450SXF) but just watched ping review his RMZ450 build and he put a seat concepts seat on. They offer a taller seat for my bike, either 5/8" or 1" taller. Anyone recommend this for my size? 1" seems like a lot.
