Hot August Night Added a reply to Hating a pro rider

Hate is a strong word. I have never seen another poster say that they wish a professional rider was injured or had some life-altering bad luck in some way. But when did sports become so watered-down that fans can't have favorite riders with a dislike for their rivals without being labeled a "non-fan"?

I'm not attempting to hi-jack this thread or start an argument; I wished Stewart a get well and I hope for a speedy recovery. But I could not help but notice that your preaching was not only a bit premature, but hypocritical as well. The truth is, Bmayzee is injured and his injury is much more serious than a broken...

The same thing could be, and has been, said about Stewart. That he deserves the lack of respect that he gets. Seems odd that you would think that one former motocross rider deserves to be "clicked from life" and then turn around and be irenic toward another rider, telling others to leave their hate out of the thread. I'm all...

This coming from a guy who said that Bmayzee needed to be "clicked from life" in this thread? I guess you should practice what you preach. Get well soon, JS7!

Could be worse. He could be some douche posing with a fish that he conquered, as his avatar on vital.

Put RV, Dungey, Reed, Stewart, and Alessi all on the same bike, and Alessi is still going to finish behind the fab four. Dungey is not beating Alessi because Alessi is on inferior equipment. Dungey is beating Alessi because Alessi is an inferior rider to Dungey.

The Battle of Normandy had over 500,000 causalities so I think you're mistaken.

Dungey has done nothing but impress me more and more since 2009. 2009: 250 Outdoor title, MXoN winning team 2010: 450 SX and National titles, MXoN winning team 2011: 1 DNF away from 450 Natrional title, MXoN winning team 2012: 450 National title, MXoN winning te...whoops, that has happened...yet! Congratulations to Ryan Dungey, Roger DeCoster, all the members of KTM...

James doesn't owe you one single thing just because you've been a fan of his since he was six. He doesn't deserve stupid comments like yours either when he is out there racing when he doesn't have to and will probably go home pretty sore tonight.
I don't think that it is that simple. First, you can't choose a rider because of one race. If you want to include Tomac based on this year's Southwick, then you must also include Barcia based on last year's Southwick. Secondly, Tomac is not proven on the 450 like Barcia is. Barcia has shown incredible speed on the 450. Finally...

Roger: "Man, Ryan, that was an AWESOME race. You got into the lead, crashed, got back into the lead, almost ran out of gas, came in for a pit stop, and still went out there, beat Alessi and won the overall. What got into you?" Ryan: "I figured that if Mike would have beat me, he would have wanted another...
It's really, incredibly hard to doubt the integrity and wisdom of Roger DeCoster but agree or disagree, it's all fine and makes for good debate. But what's done is done, and I'm all for supporting the riders that are going to represent the U.S.A.
