1) Cotter made a mistake by having Deegan in the room with the Brennan. 2) Deegan spread the word, likely “WTH, what can you do about it” to Star, walker , Yamaha, anyone that could apply influence to undo the claim. 3) At some point, the dealer may not have been threatened, but likely pressured by “WTH” calls from Walker, Deegan, or Star. I find it unlikely that the dealer heard about it in a unheated matter of fact way. People were pissed. 4) it is understandable- but not good- that the dealer would feel this reflected badly on him...

The problem at hand is the axis of corruption and bullshit between the Deegan camp, the AMA, MX Sports, Matt Walker and Yamaha regarding the bike claim. One thing I can tell you for sure: Derek Harris deserves HUGE props for standing up for this kid, trying to help him and trying to get the truth out there regarding what happened. What they did to this kid is completely unacceptable and is a huge black eye for amateur MX racing as a whole. It's fucking disgusting.

Don M isn't Donn Maeda. And as I've stated multiple times in here, I've passed on that I'm more than happy to talk to the kid and his family to get their side. I got a call with a story very similar of Cooksey’s that was from the engine guy (Derek Harris), I told said source to give my contact to the kid and his family if they want to go on record… But no call, instead Harris or someone in taht group must have gone to Cooksey.

At 16 mike was racing a 450 and on the podium with Ricky Carmichael and Kevin windham in his second pro race, and started that days first Moto in a 3rd corner pile up back in 37th. This retired guy will sell a ton of a gear especially with the following and his kids involved......arguably far more than a 9th place pro that is not active on social media etc. He is also going heavy into the amateur scene which will bring different eyes as well.

I met Jason Friberg about 3-4 years ago at a local private practice track in WI. He came up from IL to ride with his friends and was taking pictures.
