FredJones Added a reply to How long can Suzuki keep going?
1/3/2026 2:18pm I believe that the Suzuki motocross effort in the US is funded by Suzuki USA and not Suzuki Global. As the US distributor of Suzuki motorcycles, Atv and boat motors , they promote only the products that they sell in the US. Suzuki Global may make some contribution to cooperative advertising, but since they no longer sell automobiles in the...

FredJones Added a reply to How long do you intend to ride?
12/3/2025 2:10pm I'm going to be 70 in a couple of months. I hit the Saturday at Glen Helen races on a regular basis. I try to ride moto twice a week. I do a hard 25 mile mountain bike ride once a week and one or two 30+ mile road bike ride a week. I might start to think about quitting...

FredJones Added a reply to Aftermarket 4-Stroke Exhausts: Just a Bling Part?
8/8/2025 12:03am Absolutely waste of money on my 22 350SX-F. I got good results from the vented side cover, a cageless air filter and adding one tooth to the rear sprocket.

7/29/2025 1:59pm I'm not being a wiseass here. I have a specific interest in the subject of HRT. I see these Vitalfights here frequently. I'd like to hear from each of you. What are your education, qualifications and expertise in this area.
Luxon MX Liked a reply to forum topic Suspension hydraulics (sort of) nerdology question...
7/28/2025 12:07pm While liquid (suspension fluid in this case) is considered incompressible, it is very slightly compressible. So it will compress some tiny, largely insignificant, amount. Your container will also expand slightly, no matter how thick it is, but it will also be a small amount. So if you were to create this scenario, the lid would move very slightly due to the tiny amount of compressibility in the system as it got up to 1,000 psi. If you were to suddenly remove all pressure somehow, the lid would quickly move that same distance it compressed earlier plus some more until the...

FredJones Added a reply to Can we discuss team gear deals? (PC &STAR)
7/21/2025 6:51pm I'm surprised that Degan doesn't have his own individual Thor colorway at each event. The way Brian markets every detail its surprising he hasn't. Jett and Hunter each wear different Alpinestars colorways at each event. I don't recall them ever matching. It's not a team sport but the team concept is great for marketing gear. It's funny how this largely...
FredJones Added a reply to Factory Kawasaki, a bad team manager??
7/6/2025 10:31am So what should a team manager be responsible for? Signing the best riders? Building the best staff? Building the best bike for each individual rider? Signing sponsors? Staying with in budget? Or does a good manager do all of these things and then makes sure that everyone has everything they need to do thier job and that they do thier...
FredJones Started a new thread Factory Kawasaki, a bad team manager??
7/5/2025 9:53am Is it just a poorly managed team? Kawasaki has all the money, resources and technology that all the other Factory teams have. They really haven't had much success since Tomac and they chased him away. Factory KTM was nothing until they brought in Decoster to build a team and a bike. Factory Yamaha was terrible until Star took over the...

FredJones Added a reply to Front Brakes Fix
7/1/2025 9:34am Rebuild your caliper with oem parts. The stock brake hose is almost 6 years old and they weren't great to begin with. Replace your brake hose with a new steel braided hose. Next, I would reverse bleed like they do on mountain bikes. (See YouTube). After reverse bleeding I would do a conventional bleeding. If you have a good lever...

6/20/2025 1:13pm Yeah, but AP wears a cowboy hat! Maybe Hunter should wear a Crocodile Dundee outfit.
FredJones Added a reply to Anyone here race the Saturday races at Glen Helen?
6/18/2025 3:31pm I do almost every Saturday race at Glen Helen. Some of things to be aware of: Glen Helen publishes the race order on Instagram a couple of days before the race. But often they change it the morning of the race and don't update Instagram. Many people have missed their races not knowing it has been changed. It's good to...

6/12/2025 9:03am I don't agree on anything you fill this thread with. Tracks better start taking responsibility. Letting small bikes run with big, slow and fast riders mixed. Tracks that wouldn't pass a proper security review in a region that is applying, well, just common sense. For being the land of lawsuits, many tracks run like shit when it comes to all above. Stop bitching about lawsuits when that opportunity exists. Many, if not all, could have been prevented if it was taken seriously and proactive instead of reactive from track owners view. And yes, I'm part of running a track, and...

6/8/2025 10:50am RC stated that his bikes were never perfect in every aspect. I remember one season, he was very sick with IBS (Irritable Bowl Syndrom). He still won everything. He even POOPED his pants during one outdoor moto and still won! He won the race with diarrhea filling his boots and then rode straight back to the truck. I think that...

6/2/2025 1:40pm Inflation. Lawyers. Covid. Remember when some companies were caught price gouging covid prices for like 2 years even after supply chain issues were no longer occurring. Blaming lawyers is such a lazy low hanging fruit excuse for many and is especially popular in the conservative mx crowd. Matthes evey hates us! The above reminds me of everyone who hates lawyers because they supposedly exclusively are responsible for raise prices of insurance. Meanwhile, I’ve got a trial next week against State Farm. My client was in a car accident two years ago. He has $250,000 in medical bills and had to...
