15-minute motos for everyone except the Expert gate (20 mins), typically all motos completed by 2P or so most Saturdays! Very similar to the old REM days, with many familiar faces and only a few more mini/kids classes than before. Good times, great crew, and can’t beat the pricing…

I sure miss REM Saturday mornings.  So many fun memories going all the way back to Carlsbad.

I race quite a few of them. relatively short day.  Sometimes i'm done by 12:30 & watching the pro races. They'll only have 7-8 races at 15 minutes a piece, as stated above the expert moto is 20 minutes. Also the race order is posted thursday before the race so you can see where you're at in the order ahead of time!

Also check out the SRA series. SRA gives you a site lap right before the moto then you go gas up & come back to the line for the race. 45 minute moto. super fun. Then you're done. You don't need to sit around all day to race. Vet classes are always the first 2 races as well. What class do you race?

Holee sheet! 45 min moto? Damn, that would flat kill me dead. Probably at the 20-25 mark or before.

Great races. And I have been loaded up and driving out of GH before noon if I was in race 1 or 2.  Be aware that they mostly race on the Arroyo (REM) track but are sometimes on the national track.

I do almost every Saturday race at Glen Helen.

Some of things to be aware of:

Glen Helen publishes the race order on Instagram a couple of days before the race. But often they change it the morning of the race and don't update Instagram. Many people have missed their races not knowing it has been changed. It's good to go to sign up and check.

Beware of the watering. They will hold up the start of your moto and leave you baking in the sun while they flood the first turn and hills. Then they drop the gate and you go charging into the water and mud. Sometimes they will be watering during your race while your on the track.

Also Glen Helen doesn't have much in the way of flaggers, but usually there aren't that many bikes on the track in a race. Just keep an eye out for it.

It gets very hot up there this time of the year. Proper hydration is very important. It also can suddenly get very windy at times. Stake down your awning if you use one.

Both tracks get very rough after only a few gate drops. The track can change very quickly from practice to the start of your race.
