True but some guys I race against use starting blocks too. I have no problem with that, and I'm 5'11 and wouldn't bother with it. Should blocks be banned as well? Hard to say where the line should be drawn.

I'm definitely down with that if it was enforced. But if everyone else has one, so will I. Though when I got back into moto a few years ago I raced without one for a long time on my smoker, and started just fine.

I wound up ordering one off of ebay from H&R Powersports and it showed up in 4 days. The bad news is, most of my riding friends are doing an unsanctioned outlaw race at one of the coolest tracks in the state, and I'll be installing this thing and a trellis for my wife instead.

Well finally got the 2020 450 on dirt. Have not ridden anything since my 17 kxf450 last november.. man this thing is fast! The noise in the finger follower is very noticeable. Im assuming that was the slight ticking I would hear...Brakes, clutch, suspension were all the best Ive had on a KX in while. I am a kawi rider forever so maybe the rear wasnt noticeable or im used to it but had no rear brake issue. I can feel the forks could be stiffened was riding a slow out of shape pace and they were good for that...

From what I've gathered, it actually happens when the rear tire contacts the muffler and pushes it outward beyond the flex capacity of the bracket on the subframe. ^^^posting a 3 page ad in the middle of a thread probably isn't the best marketing decision. Back to the topic tho, I came from a yz450 and currently ride a kx450. I'm 6'4" and the yz and kx are always on my lists since they tend to be the largest feeling bikes. This time the kx won with the adjustability and seat height and it was definitely the best stock bike ive ever ridden. Yz wins on quality for sure though.
