You guys may remember seeing this self engage launch assist a year and 4 months ago on a few pro bikes while the product was in initial development.

Here’s the video of the device on Dean Wilson’s bike

Here’s a photo of the device a Tucker sales rep posted on FB. Hope I’m not blowing them out with this

If Paul was working for PT there would have been more hype. Bummer he left PT, good for Renthal.

I've had one on the wall at my shop for about a week now...

Unleaded tastes a little tangy. Supreme is kinda sour, and diesel tastes pretty good.

yo works connection where you at... i hope eric over at works connection catch up on this and we see him do something similar

|

5/7/2020 10:29 AM

I rarely practice starts, mostly because I can’t get someone to sit there and set my device for me. This is gunna help a lot!

|

I just lock my works connection one with my foot. Doesn’t seem like locking your own device would be that big of a deal unless you had sx suspension.

|

$300...$159...what ever...just so your fat ass gets a better start...you’ll still fade off to last. laughing

Can’t wait to show off this little gem to everyone on the line.....to beat the other 40 year olds to the corner..

Another cheater device that verifies the skills a mxer needs nowadays pales in comparison to what it took to race motocross back in the day. Tsk Tsk...what a shame.

Start Devices, like 110's are just a Fad..

|

5/10/2020 8:11 AM

the start device is located on the left side of the handle bar and modulated with the middle and/or fore finger ... comes free on every motorcycle i’ve ever owned!

$300 or learn to pull a start. If everyone is honest they do not put enough practice time into the start technique, if any.

If everyone has a device like this it still comes down to a racer with developed starting technique.

I understand the idea behind the device and they do what they are supposed to do however IMO they are another bling item that advantage no one at our level of racing.

You’re absolutely kidding yourself if you don’t think a start device helps at all levels of racing. It’s literally like cheating when you put one on, and I felt like the biggest idiot for waiting as long as I did to get one.

I see. $160.00

My point is we could all use some practice at our starts.

Been waiting to try this thing out for over a year now. What online retailers are selling it so far? I saw that ktm-parts.com is selling it, but they aren't allowing any cancels during covid blink and didn't give an estimated delivery during checkout.

I've had more than one moment on the start that one buddy or another was super late to show up and set my device, and I had to sheepishly ask some other dude to do it for me. Oh the shame laughing
