Survived my first RedBud! Crossed off a bucket list item, ended up staying South Bend - good time as well. Some pictures from the weekend. 
Stopped here for a cold one, good food/drink

Weigandt said they were neighbors and their subdivision was divided by the state line. Tomac on the Colorado side, Anderson on the New Mexico side. They used to race big wheels around the cul-de-sac, until the HOA got involved.

Anderson is from Edgewood which is right outside of Albuquerque. It's not like they grew up in the same town or anything. From listening to Tomac on Whiskey Throttle he said the closest track was an hour and a half from where they lived. I think him and Anderson were the top dogs at nationals in there class for many years so they raced each other a lot but not as often as Weigant makes people believe. Weigant has also said numerous times the Hunter Lawrence was a championship contender in the GP's as well. Weigant is very good for...

Appreciate the enthusiasm here... but the MTV Beach Bash with Pauly Shore is missing the mark with us just a bit on our side. In your book Dave probably is not at the same level as Pauly but for the rest of the moto audience we have more Dave Despain videos coming.

Just watched the replay of Tomac doing the leap and crossing the finish line jump at the end of Moto 1. I noticed this guy following him fist pumping over the leap, and again fist pumping over the finish. I had to see who this guy was that was so pumped. Coty Schock 319. I look him up and we are from the same hometown. Dover DE represent, 15th overall on the day, great job man! I didn't start following MX til after I joined the military and moved away so I don't know any of my local hometown talent...

True. I hoped my son would ride, but the effort to get everything ready and the drive to the track, paperwork etc. bored him. Fair enough, when I got my bike as a kid I had a track in my back yard. No way his mum or the neighbors would allow that.

Wages have stagnated in adjusted dollars. Kids are glued to their phones. Extreme sports are dying and unless something radical happens right now, there will not be any motocross in 20 years. I'm hoping the electric revolution will save our sport. I think it's our best chance.
