It starts with the managers of the OEM Team scouts - ie, the Ryan Holiday's, Daniel Blair's, etc. Those guys put forward a list, and it goes from there to fill the gates. So make friends with an OEM Amateur coordinator...

I would also recommend going to another sx points paying amateur race and showing you can be competitive.

For a lot of people, it’ll be assumed that the KYB fork and possibly even the shock are better than the WP parts on the Austrian bikes. We’ll find out as soon as Michael and a few other folks throw a leg over one and take it around the track (very soon).

I had a very hard time finding aftermarket engine parts for that thing. OEM are hard to find also and way too expensive. With two catastrophic metallurgical failures, I would not rebuild with OEM. It would almost be worth it to put a YZ engine in it.

I have been around dirt bikes for 50 years and I have never seen a catastrophic failure like this before on a Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, or Suzuki. If anyone else has, please post pics.

Does anyone seriously think it would be any different with a Yamaha? You think they would help anyone out on a blown up 2 yr old YZ250 with over 100 hrs?
