8/17/2023 12:18am I don't believe the Triumph bikes/chassis/engine are KTM copies in any way. Of course there will be similarities - there are across all brands - but people seem so stuck on this idea that Triumph has just taken KTM designs. How come? 10/9/2022 8:27pm That map won't necessarily show the seats that aren't being used though. Also, I read that the organizers are expecting about 45k across two nights. I'm guessing the Saturday night will be more popular, so I'd gamble on around 30,000. Hoping for more though!

10/5/2022 11:14pm Not sure they'd be over 50k in Melbourne. The stadium only has a seating capacity of 53k, and its likely they won't use the full capacity. Speedway at Marvel/Etihad a few years back had a number of the front rows sectioned off - likely for safety but also to ensure non-restricted viewing.

3/1/2022 6:48pm And there are only 4 seats per team (2 for 450s, 2 for 250s). There will be 20 permanent riders per class each year (once again, like F1), with two wildcards at each round. So don't expect to see riders jumping around and competing in different events. Once they are in, they are there to stay.

3/1/2022 3:48am This is from the official press release: “In 2022, a guaranteed $250,000 (USD) prize pool will be awarded per event making it the richest prize purse in the sport of Supercross' history.” Could be interpreted in in two different ways, but I’m reading that it will be $250,000 per event.

But KTM’s relationship to Bajaj is very different to Triumph’s relationship with Bajaj - KTM and Triumph are only connected by a mutual friend and nothing more. It is very common for major manufacturers to form partnerships with foreign factories to build their products, but doesn’t mean they share technology. Yes, KTM might be partly owned by Bajaj, but Triumph is 100% privately owned by John Bloor. So, long story short, the bikes won’t be KTMs...

Triumph is not part of the KTM Group (like GasGas and Husky), so the only way the new bikes would be different coloured KTMs is if Triumph bought KTMs engine and chassis technology, which I think is unlikely.
