Any time and you don't have to be fast to enjoy it. It is very fast and the faster you go the more it flows but it's set up to be very forgiving for vets and novices, beginners eh it may be a bit intimidating for some but overall it's a well balanced track for all levels. As far as working the track it's more hand work than tractor work. To keep it rock free requires a lot of tedious hand raking to keep it from getting stupid. Yes much elevation and very fast. I'm way out in the sticks so not many find there way here but it's worth the trip.

Mesquite is RMXs "winter" track. They lease or own tracks all over Utah/Idaho and hold practices/races at them during April - October.

My little brother and his family lives in Mesquite and they love it there. He's not into riding, but they love it in that area (including St George). I'm surprised they close down for the summer. Its hotter here in Phoenix and we still ride year round, albeit attendance does drop off in the summer. The die hards still ride when it gets hot. Just drink lots of fluids and get out there early.

I live in Mesquite and am formerly from the SLC area so here is some first hand information about the track and the MX scene in the area. Mesquite MX was acquired by RMX(Grassroots Promotions) about 3 years ago. RMX is arguably one of the best series on the west coast and the Brough family that run it are truly great people. Since they took over it has become arguably one of the top weekend destinations to ride in the intermountain region. Never got to ride grindstone,but from the pictures I’ve seen on the interweb,tracks looks super fun. Sure hope they could open it back up because I’m in the east valley. I may have to go back and give Motoland another try. Maybe I was spoiled by the ca tracks like glen helen,cahuilla,and fox raceway where I used to ride before I moved out here.

1000% agree on Motoland and dig the new changes being made to it. Also agree on the dirt. Also, Mike and his family at Motoland are awesome as you mentioned. Love what they are doing. To me, there are even more true moto than Bev and Bobby at ACP. All are super good people though. While we may not have a lot of tracks, I do like and value the ones we still have. Hope you are right on Grinding Stone, that would be fantastic.

It would be cool if there was a “track map” here on vital, where we could browse by state, discuss each track, post pics, etc..

It's still solid down here. But the ones we have lost were really damn good ones.

Just to add a few things on AZ.... Motoland vet track has undergone some nice changes the last few weeks. He did open it up a little bit to make it more flowy and he has more planned to extend it even a little longer. I rode on it just last weekend and the dirt was excellent almost the whole day. The Vet is a little looser/sandy and doesn't get quite as hard and baked as the main track. Best thing about Motoland is the owners. I have a private track near Kingman closed it down a couple years ago as no one was ever interested in riding. Now that everything is closed or crap I thought I would drop a comment.
