I didn't say anything about it one way or another. I never served so I don't have deep insight into all the angles on matters like this. I've seen some mixed opinions on this topic, figured I'd ask DangerRanger his opinion since he did serve, and the topic of war heros came up. I never heard the story of Henry Johnson til now, I even got the base wrong, it's Fort Polk, not Bragg which was also renamed, I got mixed up.

Shit that's going on now in schools would have gotten some asses beat from the beginning of education until the late 90s, and the parents would have gotten a golf clap. I am a conservative but I'm fully aware of just how corrupt both parties are. I think they call them parties because you're not invited. The Democrats shut out Bernie and he took the payoff to go quietly, then they shut out Tulsi but she has not gone quietly, unfortunately she does not have the power to make more noise than she does now. I think it’s bullshit to be honest with you. Hood, etc; also bullshit. The disparaging of Robert E. Lee. They are/were still American Fighting Men. They didn’t pick or decide the politics, they defended their state homes. That’s the thing, wether you agree with the War, or not, you took an Oath, with Honor, you’re going to fight.

Think it’s just more exposed that it’s a farce. Was watching an interesting piece on Barry Soetoro last night, lots of pics of him with the Bush Clan as a child. George H.W. and W. with their arm around him. The left wing and the right wing are attached to the same vermin infested bird.
