Anybody paying attention to RFK Jr.?

Edited Date/Time 8/15/2024 10:35am

He's running for president, done LOTS of podcasts.

Supposedly polling  says he has 20% of the democrat vote.

Unfortunately has zero chance of getting in. That party has already said there will be no debates or anything. Look what they did to Tulsi in 2020 and Bernie in 2016. He seems like a good candidate IMO

More people are paying attention to him than the, powers that be, would like.

It's going to take more than locking him out of nonexistent debates to quiet what he has to say.

Going to be interesting to see how they vilify him.

Perhaps indicting him on trumped up charges, just like another they fear.

(Pun fully intended)

Funny how he is running as a Democrat when all his positions are straight out of the RNC platform.

Bannon, Hannity, Carlson, Michael Flynn all supporting him.

Like Indy said, he literally is a straight Republican with his views so it makes no sense he’s trying to run as a Democrat. He has 0 chance at the nomination. Not sure what his goal is. Run on the Kennedy name and get recognition I guess.

That's because all of his positions are based on truth, not party agendas.

I am a conservative but I'm fully aware of just how corrupt both parties are. I think they call them parties because you're not invited.

The Democrats shut out Bernie and he took the payoff to go quietly, then they shut out Tulsi but she has not gone quietly, unfortunately she does not have the power to make more noise than she does now.

The Republicans tried their damndest to shut Trump out in 2016 but that man was a force of nature and could not be stopped.

Let's see where on this spectrum RFK Jr. lands.

Trump is enough of a madman to pick him as a running mate. I would love to see him or Tulsi run with Trump. Of course I don't agree with all their policies but they stand for what they believe and I respect that.

I watched a video he did with Jordan Peterson. I like the dude's take on many issues, but I think his speaking voice will hurt him. It's things like that that get people overlooked, and probably why people like Gavin Newsom get elected. Handsome, eloquent cults of personality win out over substance all the time. Angry

The dude bagged Cheryl Hines!  What more do we need to know?!

His arrest for heroin possession, along with some fairly bold theories, makes him a bit of a loose cannon.  And maybe the perfect running mate for Trump to overcome the significant GOP pushback he’ll receive during the campaign.

I’m no Trump supporter, but man, he makes things interesting!

I've listened to quite a few of his interviews over the past couple years  but especially in the last couple months. A consistent theme of his is, is that we must be wary of and fight against totalitarianism. Government censoring free speech, digital currency, corruption of regulatory agencies etc etc. He sites past and current instances of this.

I was a bit taken aback by his voice at first, but you get used to it and its no big deal to me.

Such an easy question.  Can't imagine why it's taken Indy so long to get back to you.

Not only that, but he has been kicked off of some social media platforms, and censored on the others.

I'm almost certain ALL politicians "say" what their base will believe.  What comes out of their mouths is not necessarily the truth.  In fact, I'd go so far as to say that truth and politics are like matter and anti-matter...they cannot exist together.

I think the left has went so far fucking left(they’re in the ditch) that any moderate democrat is considered a right winger in democrat clothing. It’s pretty bad when Bill Maher is starting to appear like he’s hanging out dead center.

I would have come across the interview eventually but thanks for letting the board know this interview exists.

One thing a person has to admit is that when RFK Jr gets interested in a subject he dives in and educates himself VERY well. No stone is left unturned and he is able to discuss a topic in great detail.

Another thing is he applies historical perspective to current world events. Look to the past to fix what is going on now. Don't just keep making the same mistakes. Do not continue to let the powers that be lead us into situations that for the most part only benefit them.

He's not afraid to say things that others in power perhaps know is true, but will not acknowledge because the fear of career suicide is too great. I think he believes that factual information should be told to the public...the truth will set us free if you will.

RFK, Jr Republican positions:

Pro-choice
Pro gun control
Pro equal pay regardless of gender
Pro same sex marriage
Pro medical price regulation
Pro 2020 was a fair election
Pro mental health
Pro environmental protection
Pro increased minimum wage
Pro student loan forgiveness
Pro free school lunches
Pro raising taxes, especially on higher income earners
Pro de-criminalization of low end drug offenses

Yea, from that list I totally see where you guys are coming from that he's straight off the RNC platform.  The one area I can kinda see a case for that comment is he thought COVID was mishandled.  Otherwise you guys might wanna go back and see what the RNC is actually saying and doing.

He must be getting too close for comfort. Youtube has begun to pull interviews with RFK jr. His recent interview with Jordan Peterson and from 2020 Mike Tyson and 2022 Theo Von.

https://twitter.com/TheoVon

Rumble however likes free speech https://corp.rumble.com/blog/rumble-welcomes-robert-f-kennedy-jr-democratic-candidate-for-president/

This is a more light hearted, "get to know RFK" interview done by Jim Breuer.  If you only listen to a little bit, go to the part where he talks about his pets. And on a side note, if haven't seen them already, search out Jim's stories about partying with Lars Ulrich and the story about how Norm MacDonald humiliated Chris Katan before the Twilight zone/Pam Anderson skit on snl. Funny stuff!

Some loose time stamps.

14 minute-ish How doing ayahuasca helped his son deal with the suicide of his mother

26 minute-ish RFK talks about all the wild pets he's owned, including a sea lion, lion, emu and his hunting falcons.

35 minute-ish Talks about why he is running.

our libs in here hate him cause he's anti-government and anti-vax. It is curious why he's running as a DEM cause his small gov't ideology is more REP than anything. he also only has one opponent so maybe that's his strategy, as opposed to the hundred or so REP candidates. I like the guy. I like ANY guy that questions our gov't and calls out the corruption.

So I listened to most (over half) of the Rogan podcast. I'll listen to the rest later. The guy makes a real compelling case for skepticism of vaccines. I think he has a lot of information to make people not anti-vaxers but selective-vaxers. It's no wonder they don't want debates or keep censoring him. He backs up his claims with studies. Anyway this is not a vax post, just a comment on RFK's position and if it's compelling.
