btree Added a comment about feature Cooksey Straight To The Point: Kawasaki, MXoN, and Patriotism

The riders that have been selected for the American team have to continue training and staying sharp for an additional 5 weeks after the season ends. I respect Tomacs decision not to participate. If these guys have made it through both SX and the full MX schedule, they have ridden 29 rounds with hardly a break since early January. The world mxgp riders do 19 rounds and do not start their season until early March. That gives them 5 months off from the mxdn to the season start as compared to 3 months for the US riders. 10 extra rounds...

I agree with Cooksey and would go a step further. Now was the time for the riders to stand together and refuse to ride this event until the FIM sh*tshow is cleaned up regarding drug infractions. No event points are on the line and continuing to give in to the FIM without taking some kind of stand only shows the riders inability to be unified. The FIM will not change their contempt for North American riders until they are forced to.

Nice interview Trey. I know your father would be proud of how you have handled both success and adversity. Both can be equally difficult to manage.

btree Added a reply to Another stellar job by FIM and WADA

4/9/2019 2:21pm
"While three AMA Supercross riders have been suspended for using banned substances, there have been no known positive tests for MXGP, which raises the question: Is there a baked-in bias against AMA-based riders within the FIM? " If the the above passage from a recent Racer X article is indeed true, american riders should demand separation from the FIM and...

btree Added a comment about feature Cooksey, Straight To The Point: Teammates Who Despise Each Other

MM could demand that, but it may come back to haunt him. Aldon could then say "Sure mate, but you will train by yourself. Zach will still ride with Cooper, and when JA comes back, those three will train together". Looks like these top level guys going at each other during the week (at race intensity) is paying dividends. IMHO, Baggett, Roczen and Tomac would be just a tick better if they trained with top level 450 riders at intensity during the week. Baker factory closing in on their 9th straight (I think) 450 sx title is more than just...

Webb & Musquin WILL continue to train together. Just like MM and Jason Anderson trained together last year. The program is bigger than any one rider. The championships won prove that. If you don't like it, get off the program/team and go somewhere else. Both riders know they are 1 and 2 in the standings due in large part to the overall program. If 94 would have stayed KTM, he would have at least one 450 title by now. NO rider currently under Decosters watch has the power to demand a deviation from the program (with good reason).

btree Added a reply to Roger Decoster

3/17/2019 5:03pm
1: Honda has not had the same success since Decoster left (look at Hondas record while Roger was team manager). 2: Suzuki has not had the same success since Decoster left. 3: Ryan Dungey LEFT Suzuki because he knew Roger Decoster and Ian Harrison were going to build the KTM into a winning bike. Had he stayed at Suzuki (or...

btree Added a reply to Skillington and Broc Tickle case!

2/23/2019 5:46am
Does anyone doubt this case would have been heard within 6 months had the accused been Marc Marquez, Valentino Rossi or Jeffrey Herlings (all Europeans) instead of Broc Tickle. I am beginning to sense some purposeful foot dragging from the FIM in regards to North American rider drug violations, and can't help but think a "European versus North America" state...
