The race orgs I raced at over the years never had tech inspection. They use to many many years ago but because there are so many classes to run in a day they can barely get through the day. Tech inspection would take too long which is why I don't think they do it any longer.

Maybe the point was missed. The price difference is $17k for the 450 and $11k for the 600. Could you make the 600 race ready for $6k (then the price would be the same). If you could, why would you want a yz450 for road racing?

Maybe I am missing something but the price of that bike is 17,000, a new Yamaha R6 is $11,000. Create a stock 600 class. add tires, exhaust, steering damper, frame/engine slider, A sharkskin body to get rid of the headlights is about $900 You would have some work, wiring nuts and removing turnsignals/tail lights. I have never raced on the...

" On what evidence does he base these assumptions? GP riders race for longer and on rougher more technical tracks," That Bagget would come from behind at the end of the moto and pass the world champ Roczen. Barcia and Tomac both pass him after the middle of the moto. So I would call that evidence. It may not be...

Nerver seen that before. I almost started gagging but then I started laughing because it looked like I was watching a overdubbed Japanese movie. Still it was terrible, probably why I did not see the movie.

brappster Added a reply to Team USA sand practice before MXoN

I agree it was terrible that while the GP riders have practice and ridden this track for years, that the Americans after practicing on sand tracks other than Lommel and then some practice at Lommel could only beat most of the Euros even after several crashes, Barcias mechanical and get a still get a 3rd overall. It would seem that...

Absolutely, The Euros beat the US, which they have not been able to do the last 7 times. Does it mean much? Like the Euros are faster? No because of a couple reasons. First Americans had a bad hair day. If Barcia would not have hit another riders and lost spokes, (self inflected) or Barcia would not have distracted Dungey...

I don't agree with the article. Times have not changed the Americans are still the fastest. Just not at every track. The fact they have won 7 years in a row and so many times before that tells us they are the faster and better riders. They lost one race, if Barcia would not lost his spokes and Dungey not...

I am sorry for the American riders winning the last 7 races before this one and the long winning streak before that to cause people like the original poster to be so bitter. I am sorry that even though the the Americans are the best, they don't win every race and they cannot beat the Euros on every track the...

"If you're an American , French , Great Britain , Australia, Russia, Sweden, ....or any other team that isn't Germany or Belgium." It was Germany, Belgium, and America that were on the podium, everyone else gets to stuff the hole. We did not walk away from the race with the trophy we wanted but we got one. The world has...

I remember when a younger Caroli and everyone else was smoked by Villopoto on a 250 when the MXON was here.. Did it mean much?, No, What means a lot is the Americans have smoked the Euros for the last 7 years. That kinda says something like winning a championship and beating the competitions 7 times in a row. This...

Those bikes at the MXON, except for Dungeys, were works bikes, they are nothing like you or I would buy. It is interesting that Short, struggled with his 350. Caroli in MXON here seemed to struggle too. Perhaps it is the difference between the bikes over there and over here. It may be that that the bikes here are slower. I...

I think he was surprised as many Americans were how different Lommel was. It was obviously very different. It was easy for the Americans to underestimate the track since the Americans win year after year with no challenge from the Euros. This year was different. Kudos to the Germans, but I don't think the Americans will underestimate them again. But...

Where did I say it is not fair? They could have the MXON every year at Lommel The Americans will have to learn the track. If they would have had a better day and not crashed as much (which is in their control) or had less bad luck, things would have been very different. You guys were telling us Lommel...

The point was that Herlings, Caroli, have raced and practiced that track a lot. The Americans never rode it until now. That is home Europe track advantage. Herlings has no magic, he learned his sand skills from riding sand tracks like Lommel, that is why he is fast especially on that track.
