Seems like he is right more than wrong…it appears industry folks send him info (knowing he will report it) versus the mainstream moto media who won’t (or only report after something becomes official)..

I wish I could say I'm surprised they are doing this. But with all that they've (KTM family of products) gone through the last few years....is it really a surprise?

True he lost time firing up the suzi.. But what you forgot is.. Not having electric start has saved him time every other lap this season... he may have lost 15 seconds with the stall, but he may have gained a minute over the season thanks to lack of packing around an electric motor, battery, and extra wiring... Everything has an up and a down side... even electric start...

Test update.... I have a half dozen rides now on the mods discribed here. The performance remains consistant. Still shifting smooth with no change in performance. AND best of all not one false nutral. This argues that these mods are holding. Also there is much less metal on my drain bolt magnet!! BTW I have run into a few people now at local tracks that have seen this work posted and are implementing the same mods to their bikes. Just a reminder... If your going to do this I would get a new shift drum comming. Yours will likley be...
