The Big Labowski Added a reply to Hughes and Dean Wilson??

There's plenty of all kinds of wrecks in motocross, that's why it is impossible to say absolutely that any kind of protective gear is or isn't always going to protect you in any and all types of crashes, let alone cause more damage to your body in the event of any type of crash. I'm sure we all agree here...

Exactly..... That's what made me think Ryan was an idiot. The human body isn't equipped to handle getting pile driven head first into the ground at 35 mph or more coming off a dirtbike crash. The neck brace isn't restricting any natural body movements that will reduce injury in the case of a really nasty MX/SX get-off. We often don't...

The company I work for used to do a lot of work for a developer that had a huge shop full of classic corvettes. It was his hobby, and the dude spent a lot on collecting and maintaining all those cars. When it all went south and his business went belly up, the bank and all the debt collectors didn't...

Exactly what I was thinking..... In today's world, with the bling bling, look at me culture, the concept of depreciating assets just flies right over most people's heads, kinda like it did to ole dirtydane there. Cars, plane, jewelry don't make squat for a retirement plan, especially when your career is in a sport that retires most of its athletes...
Unless he has some other type of inherited bond or investment he is using as collateral to rebuild in case the home is destroyed, I can't fathom the line of thought of not insuring a home just because it is paid for......
I feel bad for the guy and all, and wish the best for him and his family, but if that's true I just don't know what to think..... Why anyone would not keep insurance on your own home is beyond me, whether the home is paid off or not. A home is necessity of life as well as in investment...

When I got into moto, I was a big fan of the Kawasaki bikes, so I've always kinda pulled for whoever is on a green bike. I've always rode or raced Kawasakis, and still own a KX250 smoker to this day (although it's a rare occasion when I can find time to ride or race it these days), so I'm...
I don't know about that man. She put "#iamgonnasuck" on the ig post, which gives me the impression that she's more of a runner than a bicycling kind of girl..... I know when I met my wife she was big into running and was very fit as well. I bought her a mountain bike and she took it out all...
The guy dominated the last four races of the SX series, leading all 80 laps, with the hurt knee, and now after getting it fixed and rehabbing it he's riding a bicycle with his wife. I'm thinking some of you guys are assuming the injury was a lot worse than what it actually was. There's a huge difference between running...

Am I imagining things, or have the 250's always not been able to make it over Larocco's Leap. I coulda sworn I've seen them doing it without much of a problem in years past. Wonder why they're not making it over that jump today. Is the tract just that deep that they can't get the drive?

I don't feel bad for him at all. Some would say the fact that he can walk after his injury is nothing short of a miracle, and he's able to not only walk, but also race a dirtbike at the highest level of the sport. He is a blessed individual to say the least. He's also a MX2 world champion...

It was heading that way as soon as the news of this tragedy broke. Most folks are always looking for something or somebody to blame when something catastrophic happens, whether it makes any sense at all or not, and this situation is no different. Fact is, when you get a bunch of racers and a bunch of talent on a...

I don't doubt the guy might have some lingering issues, I just don't believe that the guy can't sweat. He dern near won the title in 2010, a summer when Tomac dern near had a heat stroke and another 450 rider didn't survive a heat stroke, and you're telling me he can't sweat or his body can't regulate its own...

I would hardly call Tomac's 3-1 in his first ever pro race a dominating performance. He didn't win that second moto by a whole lot. Yes, he did win that race, but that performance isn't even comparable to what Martin did this past weekend. And yes, Martin was in a league of his own this past weekend. They said at...

Please show me where I said Martin will go 24-0...... (hint, you won't find it in my post) He probably won't, but a guy that is capable of putting a ride like he did this past weekend probably isn't going to lose a ton. Since I've been following MX, only RC, Bubba, and RV have been capable of putting in...

It's amazing what some people will believe...... The guy can sweat. We've all seen him on TV in the 2009 and 2010 MX series coming off the track, pulling his helmet off, and he's sweating up a storm. He won the first moto at Freestone in 2010 on a day when the likes of Tomac and Canard were dam near...
