Used a sealant to help. HRC had a special airbox for the 2002-2004 bikes, but the 05-07 airbox worked better than the HRC 02-04 airbox. So I just stuck with the 05-07 stock

Really incredible build, i want to here it! Did you also modify the airbox for a better sealing? Like they did with the RC CR250.

So I been building a full factory 2002 HRC CR125R similar to Fonseca bike, but with some updated and some more modern works parts you would see today on factory CRF450RW and CRF250RW. Motor is the last factory HRC CR125R engine Honda ever ran. It’s exactly the same as Fonseca’s Honda 125 had. Geico ran these same motors. It has a longer HRC connecting rod and a riser plate under the cylinder. There is an incredible amount of work into the cases and cylinder, lot of epoxy work. While I am waiting for the very last titanium bolt before I call this project complete enough for a photo shoot, I thought some photos of my last 3 Honda builds would make for a nice look at 3 very different generations of Honda racing. I thought that these 3 years were some of Honda's best looking designs with simple, clean lines. Here we have a 1979 CR250, a 2001 CR250 redone as a 1999/2000 RC250M and a 2012 CRF450.

I have been procrastinating tearing the bike down so I could complete the last part of the build which was TIG welding the frame for the HRC skid plate mounts, the water pump guard and the prototype (at that time) rear brake caliper. The rear caliper bracket guide has to be moved down lower on the swingarm. I also cut a piece of pipe the same width as the engine cases so I could pull in the frame rails before welding. This is necessary to ensure the skid plate holes line up after installing the engine. HRC welded threaded inserts...

Gajser and Prado really better step it up. Herlings is coming! He's won 8 of the last 12 motos and there's plenty of motos left if Herlings keeps winning like this for him to take this title... Would be his most impressive title if he does win it!
